The girls behind the lawsuit argue that the biological male students prevent them from obtaining track titles and scholarship opportunities.
The girls are Selina Soule, a senior at Glastonbury High School, Chelsea Mitchell, a senior at Canton High School and Alanna Smith, a sophomore at Danbury High School. They are being assisted with their lawsuit by the conservative nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom. The suit names the Connecticut Association of Schools-Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference and the boards of education in Bloomfield, Cromwell, Glastonbury, Canton and Danbury.
Mentally and physically, we know the outcome before the race even starts, Smith, who is the daughter of former Major League pitcher Lee Smith, told ABC News. That biological unfairness doesnt go away because of what someone believes about gender identity. All girls deserve the chance to compete on a level playing field.
An attorney for the girls told ABC that allowing trans students to compete against them reverses advancements in womens rights.
Forcing girls to be spectators in their own sports is completely at odds with Title IX, a federal law designed to create equal opportunities for women in education and athletics, attorney Christiana Holcomb said. Connecticuts policy violates that law and reverses nearly 50 years of advances for women.
The Connecticut Association of Schools-Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference says that they are simply complying with federal and state laws that say students must be treated as the gender they identify as.
The suit stems from two transgender runners, Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood, who have competed against all of the girls, winning 15 girls state indoor or outdoor championship races since 2017 between the both of them.
Our dream is not to come in second or third place, but to win fair and square, Mitchell said. All were asking for is a fair chance.
Good Good and more good
Good for them. Why did it take so long for this lawsuit to be brought?
The left will go about destroying the lives of the three females who filed the suit.
Women’s rights vs. Transgender rights. What are the Liberals going to do now? They have really backed themselves into a corner.
Go, girls! Go, REAL girls!
This transgender cr** has to stop. Unfair is unfair.
With the black-robed idiots in charge, it’s unclear how such a lawsuit would fare.
It’s about time!!!!!!!!
Good luck, REAL girls.....
Fan-Tastic! You Go, Girls!
Beat the LeftTards at their own game in the COURTS!
These girls and their families are likely in for hell — and even though “most” people they know probably agree with them, they’ll likely get little public support for fear of the same reprisals. What a sad, sick state of affairs.
Liberals have declared there are no more girls, so this is a silly a lawsuit. Transgender is also outlawed since there are no more genders.
Repeal Title IX and maybe this Y chromosome carrier will give a rats butt.
The nutmeg state. Won’t be holding my breath.
Well, that’s not being very WOKE.

They started out demanding equality and when that was largely a bust “equality” was culturally ans legally enforced and we were all expected to make believe that this “equality” was real.
EVERY previously male sphere that women entered was dumbed down to get more women in. Anywhere the standards remained high women failed to enter.
God has a sense of humor. Now some females are suing to get males out of the sort of activity that correct cultural propaganda routinely depicts woman being not only equal to but superior to males. Too bad females don’t count anymore. They’ve been displaced by faux females. And that is not humor or sarcasam. We made believe girls were guys and now we’re expected to make believe guys are girls. This expectation is well founded since we were perfectly happy to make believe females were something they’re not.
Next the liberals will divide all competition by skin color and religion.
currently trannies “outrank” women
