Kirk Douglas, Michael's father, died earlier this week. Michael said at the appearance that his father supported Bloomberg until the very end.
"I don't know if he was pulling my leg or not, but one of the last words that he said in the hospital, when he came and he saw me, asked me to lean over close to him, and I leaned over close to him and he said, 'Mike can get it done'," he said.

These Holly-weirdos are so delusional and full of themselves, it's laughable.
I hope someone isn’t using natural sympathy for politics. I imagine the older Douglas had a really large and complicated estate, and may have beseeched his loved ones that his eldest son, Mike [Michael] would take care of things... so please cooperate.
I always thought Michael Douglas was a decent guy, but Martell points out otherwise. Pretty obvious that Michael Douglas always knew about Harvey Weinstein and so did his buddy, Blumberg.
Sickos who could care less about women.
Personally, I think he said “Ike can get it done”.
Bloomberg doggie commercial near the end the dog says i lick mike ( not a typo).
Oh please. The man died on the 5th. His funeral was the 7th.
Normal people still grieve over the loss of an elderly parent.
I am surprised given how liberal Michael Douglas is, I would think his guys would be Buttplug or Bernie.
He wants to spread the socialism he has enjoyed all of his life to the rest of us and... oh wait a minute never mind he’s just another Hollywood asshole who thinks we should listen to him because he makes believe he is someone else for a living.
Writing is on the wall. They are going to give the election to Bloomberg. Bernies people are not going to like it one bit. If they sit out or go 3rd party Trump will win.
His last words were Mike can get it done?
I call shenanigans.
Bloomie kept Rudy’s emphasis on broken windows. He humbled the city worker unions. ( as a NYC teacher I can attest to that) Tourism skyrocketed and he limited spending increases, kept taxes stable, was very business friendly. He was also a meglomaniacal intolerant nanny who brooked no deviation from his way. He mocked religion, calling ,for example, Midnight Mass at St. Pats a cultural thing.
And he is very very dangerous. I have already seen yard signs on Long Island in addition to the never ending ads. Yesterday at a Long Island winery I heard conversations of literate folks saying that if he doesnt get Dem nod they would vote Trump. He will come across as tempting to more than a few potential Trump voters disgusted with the rest of the Dems. And he has so much money.
Rush said Blommberg rents people to talk for him. The reason is he has a horrible, squeaky voice. Very unpresidential voice.
The black woman in Mike’s ad is voting for trump. She did the ad cause he paid her.
Sometimes death is even welcomed when a loved one passes. Both my parents died suddenly. I found solace that they passed that way, and not a slow lingering death full of pain. My grief was not being able to tell them both that I loved them, one last time.
[[kept taxes stable,]]
Huh? From what i understand, every-time NY’ers turn around they are getting slapped with some new tax, No?
Nice post. Did you go out campaigning the next day?
“His last words were Mike can get it done?
I call shenanigans.”
Maybe, “Mike, get a tongue”.
Concern for his son makes more sense than a dying Interest in politics.
Man! I HATED that movie!
“Which underscores advice I have heard all my life.
Dont eat after others... “
And eat that close to a septic tank.
everything is so fake and scripted. looks so inauthentic and disingenuous. thats the way to spot the bullshit.
AND, I hated ‘War of the Roses’ and ‘Fatal Attraction’, too. Because of those movies, it was hard for me to watch Michael Douglas.
