Snip~

He led #TeamTrump to victory in the U.S. Senate and managed to destroy Joe and Hunter Biden in the process – all without breaking a sweat.

Sekulow is President Trump’s lead counsel. The two have a very close relationship and unlike many lawyers who have gotten the boot by President Trump, Mr. Sekulow has stood the test of time.

Jay, at this time, is U.S. Court of Appeals-level material. Alternately, appointment to one of the independent commissions, e.g. FCC. To keep our caucus together, we need nominees that our weak sisters can support. They will - maybe - support principled conservatives who have established a track record on the U.S. Court of Appeals or a State Supreme Court. Plus, it would be good for Trump to nominate a principled conservative who is female. While, the President is no longer restricted by his campaign promise, the list he developed back then has many very fine potential nominees.

HA! Doubt that it’s true but it is like sticking the puppy’s nose in his mess.

I disagree. Tho he has been ok lately, he has shown very poor judgement. Look back at this campaign for the presidency.

He has fought many cases before the SC. He wins. He flawlessly upholds the Constitution and runs circles around the prosecutors.

Others are raising good points here. Age is a consideration.

Yeah, this smells like Harriet Myers, v2.0.

The fact that Sekulow isn’t a judge doesn’t bother me. Look where we are now, because of SC judges. You don’t even have to be a lawyer to be nominated for the SC. Then again, such a nominee probably wouldn’t make it past the Senate.

Need to go young with these SCOTUS picks. Sekulow is into his 60s.

Sekulow declared bankruptcy in the late 1980s over securities fraud allegations. That did seem to be a turning point for him, however, and he has accomplished many great and positive achievements since. But I don’t see how anyone with a bankruptcy gets through senate confirmation.

Sekulow’s history is rather astounding.

Argued his *first* SCOTUS case at age 30?!

Very few attorneys get to SCOTUS in their entire careers. What most people don’t seem to realize is that the Supremes agree to hear a very small number of cases each year. One party has to petition the court and wait. The court will only hear those issues it deems to have such significant national or public policy importance that it has no real choice but to resolve it with finality.

How many times has Sekulow been up there? I believe it’s 12, is that correct? Just amazing.

A truly brilliant legal mind. This is all we’re really seeking; not ideology. Rather, justices who will remain faithful to the law as it is written.

That shouldn’t be such an outrageous request.

I would not assume that Sekulow micromanaged his own finances.

Even President Trump has been known to retain the services of crooks.

MR. SEKULOW IS A CLASS ACT AND WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT CHOICE.

I hate the term “floated” unless it’s used on someone I don’t like. I like Jay. I’d rather have him on the high court than RBG or any of those other commies.

Someone who has experience as a judge and has a track record but is still relatively young. We don’t know all the things that the Democrats will do if and when they get back into power.

The soundbites from the radio program could be selectively culled in the most damning way. Amy Coney Barrett is most likely the next one just to stiff the femnists.

Jay is a born-again, Spirit filled Jew! I would love to see him on the SC. I would expect his judgement to be influenced by his Christian, conservative worldview - and nothing less.

I believe Jay is the founder of the ACLJ "American Center for Law and Justice", which is the antithesis of the ACLU.

Many are “floated,” but the choice will be a judge with experience—one who would and could support our Second Amendment. The appointee will not be chosen with regard to sex, religion or race but rather merit alone. Our freedoms and nation are at stake, and there’s no room for the errors too often imposed by hysterical factions this time.
