Snip~

He led #TeamTrump to victory in the U.S. Senate and managed to destroy Joe and Hunter Biden in the process – all without breaking a sweat.

Sekulow is President Trump’s lead counsel. The two have a very close relationship and unlike many lawyers who have gotten the boot by President Trump, Mr. Sekulow has stood the test of time.

Yes! The SC would never be the same. This is one smart, dedicated Conservative lawyer. Please make it happen. I've been a fan of Sekulow for years.

Did you know Jay Sekulow has a band?

He’s already 63. The confirmation hearing would refight the impeachment trial. It’s a fun speculation, but I’m afraid it’s dead on arrival. Solicitor General, if it gaps in the next term, is a shorter gig by definition and would be a great honorific to add to Sekulow’s resume.

That’s a point. Still, he could easily do 20 on the court and it would never be the same. I’d love to see him take on Roberts. What a show that would be.

You don’t move someone who is right for the job hr’d in. Not sure he would even want it.

Same argument for Harriet Myers.

He's never been a judge.

Not a good idea. Need a much younger constitutionalist who has at least some experience on the bench of an appeals court.. While he has had great success arguing several religious freedom cases before the Supreme Court he has no experience as a judge and any confirmation hearings would focus on his advocacy rather than his ability to be unbiased. Appointing someone that has been a close advisor to the President is simply an invitation to make it totally political. The battle will be hard enough without adding personal relationship issues.

True, but legally that is not a requirement.

Love Jay, but I think Cruz would be a better choice.

A good point as well. I’m thinking that if we take back the House it would make all the difference. The Crats have been so busy destroying themselves, it will be a whole different landscape in 2021.

Someone who doesn’t follow the Constitution when it’s not in their favor isn’t someone who should be on the bench.

Ted Cruz would be a great SCJ. Provided we win a lot of senatorial seats from dims.
