Never Do an Enemy a Small Injury, Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527)
The Big Apple ^ | 1469-1527 | Niccolò Machiavelli

Niccolò Machiavelli (1469-1527) wrote in The Prince (1505 in Italian, 1513 in English) what has been translated as “Never do an enemy a small injury.” If one is striking out at an opponent, one should make sure that the fatal blow is struck, successfully ending the confrontation. Machiavelli wrote that “the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge.”

That's from Machiavelli! Emerson just re-worked it a little. Machiavelli's works are much more then "The Prince". Very worth the time spent to read & he has been unfairly maligned. (Most of that was caused by Shakespeare!)

This is about 2024, not 2020.

But they have to be viable in 2024! At the rate they are shooting themselves in the foot......

I’m expecting the start of the counter-offensive with a bang.

Over and over, time and time again, we see this artificial segmentation between party and media. The result is a lot of animosity directed towards mass media, as if they have some kind of moral obligation to perform a public service of objective reporting.

Keep thinking like that, and you will never fail to be disappointed. The proper orientation is one of a global complex, one that encompasses finance, media and deep state(s). This conglomeration of interests sets the agenda and carries out specific ordered strategic objectives.

Way, way down the hierarchy are the actual political parties and processes by which - technically - legislation and governments exists. IOW, if Pelosi didn't exist, how could action take place at ground level?

An easy analogy to picture is that of an airport; Pelosi et al are the operations people running around on the tarmac loading/unloading luggage, refueling, gate operations, etc. All the real, top level strategic decisions are made in executive level meetings, covering technology trends, growth expectations, resource management and finance.

That’s correct! Do an enemy a thousand small injuries to make her crazy.

Democrats play the long game... This is about 2024, not 2020.

Not to hijack my own thread but POTUS needs to sit down with Pence and inform him that he will only be veep for a year or so into term 2. Someone needs to be in place and ready to hit the pavement with wheels already turning.

I know Jr. is a favorite but I am not a fan of children following. We got rid of the crown a long time ago.

After watching Trump’s indirect statements at the National Prayer Breakfast today, I think Ms. Pelosi should clearly understand the gloves are off.

“Rule of law means everybody.”

If that were true, Hillary would already be in prison.

Yep.

Republicans need to learn this Machiavellian principle instead of just snickering that they won this time.

If they don’t prosecute the democrat crimes precluding all this, the Dem snake will regroup and come back twice as hard.

But, it’s we, the AMERICAN people who suffer, not the political parties..

I sure as hell hope so! I’m hoping for something along the lines of, “Well Nancy, Jerry, Adam, Mitt, etc., you’ve had your fun. Now it’s my turn...”

And the next rally ought to be in Salt Lake City...

Yes, but in context, Trump has to dot all his i’s and cross all his t’s if he is going to lead the country back to rule of law. The comment was about Trump, not law breakers.

I have to disagree. When 90-plus percent of journalists affiliate with and contribute to the Democrat Party, and 90-plus percent of their coverage is stilted in favor of not just the Democrat Party, but repeating false Democrat talking points, they are one and the same.

Witness the almost daily buzzwords that reverberate throughout the media and Democrat politicos on an almost daily basis...

He does not strike back so the enemy keeps coming at him. The democrats are full of criminals and traitors. Easy pickings to jail the clintons, obamas, pelosis, feinsteins etc etc but he does nothing but talk / twitter.

His underlings are in open mutiny and he does nothing. It makes him look weak.

The well being of the Nation is what is important and I believe what is most important to Trump. Achieving his vision of what is good for the nation within the law is what I think he will focus on and do. Removing barriers to that objective is just something that he may have to do.

Crushing nutty nancy or mittens out of spite is not something that accomplishes what is best for US. Crushing them to achieve what is best for US, well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

It is now time.

A long time ago during a lecture when I was in the infantry reserves, the instructor told us our objective was to KILL the enemy.

Really? Trump is the best fighter we have had in the Whitehouse since Reagan. Maybe he should hire you as an advisor.
