See my post above...I have never seen anything at all like that, even when there were tens or even hundreds of thousands of people.
Have small open-topped dumpsters on flatbeds near the entrance. People can put chairs and blankets to be donated in one and trash to disposed of in another. Drive them away as they are full and replace them with empty ones. Conservatives will put their trash in recepticles if there are any.
Of course, the trash is what local news media is focusing on.
It wasn’t an ideal situation, they had to leave their stuff outside, so how were they going to clean it up?
The county should collect it for the homeless, or to be used by tourists in the summer
Is this the first Trump rally where participants have left such a mess behind? Or is it typical?
It IS possible that not only can they not bring these things into the venue, but that they are not allowed back to the lot to collect their belongings, not to mention if they’d spent 2 days in line, they were exhausted and didn’t give their belongings a second thought.
I suggest this because years ago I had Secret Service confiscate a bottle of cologne and they told me I could collect it after the president’s appearance .. that did not happen ... the SS station where they took my cologne was taken down and there was no way to recover my property.
Plus it was a rally for a Rat in a Rat district...
Media saw conservative reports of liberals leaving a mess...
So they publicize this.
But say nothing of those liberal messes.
They’re always wantin’ free s#it. Well, there it is, help yourself.
Go clean up your own house and post your crap elsewhere.
They had NO choice. If you waited 12-24-48 hours in line, using your chair to sit on, and then were told you can’t bring the little folding beach chair inside the venue, you just go home and miss the rally, for which you waited so many hours in the bitter cold?
I went to a Trump rally in Nov. 2018. There were no trash containers availablethe Secret Service doesn’t allow them. So there was a huge mess after. But, by the next morning, everything was cleaned up. I’ll bet the same thing happens here.
Yes I really think Trump fans would clean up better if the logistics were addressed. It shouldn’t be news to authorities and the advance team that it will essentially be a campground.
The one Trump rally I attended, there was no reason to bring chairs and camp out because the venue was large, the weather was decent. This venue in NJ had 4 times as many people wanting to attend than the size of venue.
So they came 24-48 hours ahead of the rally to wait in line, in the cold NJ weather. So they had to being a chair and a blanket. Then they were told they could not bring those inside the building.
So what would you do? Take your chair home and miss the rally after waiting 2 days and 2 nights in line? Nope, most just abandoned their items.
Making people laugh is something I always try to do. :-)
Hell I’m going to one. Load up a truck and start selling stuff on Craigslist
Just leave your dam chair where it’s at. Pick it up when you leave. But it is Jersey
Attendees having to replace all that stuff gave the local economy a shot in the arm. /s
So much for the 4th Amendment and “reasonable compensation”.
I agree, venues want things left clean but there are never enough garbage cans anywhere, nor do they dump them.....2 days... please.....where do they want you to throw away trash? Geeezzzz
it’s a joisey thing
