The Trump advance teams need to work on this problem to avoid such messes.

Have small open-topped dumpsters on flatbeds near the entrance. People can put chairs and blankets to be donated in one and trash to disposed of in another. Drive them away as they are full and replace them with empty ones. Conservatives will put their trash in recepticles if there are any.

This is an excellent idea.

Along with that, maybe enlist some charities to do clean up after the event and also perhaps tag items and give matching number tickets so people can go to some designated spot later and claim them.

Donation boxes could be set up in the venue and people asked to donate to the groups who will be cleaning up after them.

I get why for security reasons that security might not want them many dumpsters and garbage cans around while so many people are round, but they may allow screened groups of people into the area vacated by those in the convention center to start the clean up.
