Abigail Disney has weighed in on Kobe Bryant's controversial past, after actress Evan Rachel Wood and a Washington Post journalist were berated for tweeting about a rape allegation against him from 2003, just hours after his death in a helicopter crash Sunday.

Disney - whose grandfather Roy O. Disney co-founded The Walt Disney Company - tweeted: 'I haven't said anything about Kobe so far because I felt some time needed to pass before weighing in. But yes, it's time for the sledgehammer to come out. The man was a rapist. Deal with it.'

Did you know that one of the prosecution’s witnesses was the accuser’s ex-boyfriend, and he refused DNA testing to find out if he was a match?

Did you know the prosecution’s other main witness was the bellman, who the accuser said she’d slept with a day or two before the alleged rape?

The rape allegations were not credible. He was guilty of adultery, not rape.

Hugh Grant and Charlie Sheen are big time Hollywood stars. Kobe Bryant is an ugly git who got some attention because of his playing abilities. Take a look at black male athletes and showbiz figures sometime. How many of them end up with white women who look as good as the woman who was raped? She wasn’t in there for a roll in the hay - she was looking to get his autograph. Young women are naive in the ways of the world. That’s how so many of them end up raped by strange black men*. When they ask white men to stop, they generally do. With blacks, who knows? This young lady was less naive than some, but more naive than others.

Here's the thing. I have a brain and I have eyes and ears. I can look at a set of circumstances, statements, and evidence, even if it's only reported, and come to conclusions, just like you can and have. This rapist doesn't have to have his rape proven in court for me to KNOW that he raped this girl.

No, but if you were a 19- or 20-year-old girl who believes your encounter with a famous celebrity turned to rape and then the media starts leaking your name everywhere and implying that you're a slut and a psycho, you might not feel like you would be given a fair trail. You heard **the defense's** characterization of the DNA evidence. You didn't hear the **prosecution's** characterization of the DNA evidence because it would have been illegal to produce this before trial and the case never went to trial.

Essentially, you bought the Adam Schiff version of the evidence. Who knows what the truth really was because the "victim" decided it wasn't worth being trashed in the media for months while "Saint Kobe" was genuflected on ESPN.
