On Monday, radio and TV host Mark Levin issued a barrage of tweets regarding The New York Times article with excerpts from former national security advisor John Boltons new book, excerpts which prompted much hand-wringing among some GOP senators about calling new witnesses in the Senate impeachment trail targeting President Trump. Levin stomped on the Times, Bolton, and the GOP senators who seem to be considering capitulating to Democrats demands that witnesses be called who did not testify in the House impeachment trial.
Levin began by cutting directly to the heart of the matter:
If every word of this New York Times story is true, which I doubt as its another politically timed leak, how does this change anything? As a matter of FACT, there was no quid pro quo. And theres still no evidence to the contrary.
Then he segued to Boltons stated outrage that excerpts from the upcoming book had been leaked:
Let me get this straight. John Bolton and his lawyer Chuck Cooper submitted the book manuscript to the NSC for review, which is notoriously known for leaking, on the eve of the impeachment trial, and theyre now surprised about a cherry-picked leak?We are left with a politically-motivated, last-minute, cherry-picked leak from anonymous sources to the Trump-hating New York Times. And now the media attention is focused on the Democrat demands, in hopes of turning a handful of Republicans susceptible to these tactics to join the Democrats in a call for witnesses which, of course, the House Democrats opposed during their impeachment inquiry.
Levin bluntly predicted, If the GOP falls for this theyll lose the Senate.

At least I promise to do everything I can to remove them.
I dont think that is what motivates them. Romney anyway. I think hes as compromised as Biden and for the same crimes. He plays for the other team
What does throwing the election a few weeks after
Benghazi look like to people?
Wouldn’t calling witnesses under their rules not be a bad thing? I don’t like the GOP, I believe they’re spineless idiots, but I don’t see this as a bad thing. Call witnesses at prime time and make them (Dems) look like idiots-—Tie up all these senators from campaigning as well.
The traitors in control of both houses will make the last four years seem like a Sunday church picnic.
Not with what’s her face at the helm.
Its very bad for the Senate Republicans and could cost the majority
Mr Bolton had a Top Secret with Special Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) access while he headed the NSC. He IS REQUIRED by law to submit any manuscript or article he writes that covers his period as head of NSC to it to be reviewed for the existence of any classified information that might be in it. Thus he had no choice in NOT submitting it to the NSC.
I know this because I had a similar caveat on what I might write that covered the years I was in the Army as an active duty soldier and afterward as a Dept Army civilian with TS/SCI access. I could write and publish whatever I wanted, without sending it to the Dept of Army for classification review, only if it was pre-Vietnam War history/fiction.
This is another case of needing to find the NSC Staff member who leaked the information and prosecuting that person. Until that happens or his book is published, I will consider Mr. Bolton of any allegations by the NY Slimes.
The so called moderate GOP senators (McCain, Romney, Collins) are more afraid of NY Times than they are of the republican base voters.

I doubt that McShame is afraid of anything on Earth right now!
“To be a contrarian Im thinking bring him in and get it over with deal with it and get the acquittal.”
It wouldn’t happen quickly. Trump would almost certainly claim executive privilege, so that matter would have to go to a district court, an appeals court and, possibly, the Supreme Court. That would take weeks, maybe even months.

My apologies for double-dipping.
And I just heard Joe DiGenova being interviewed about the “Bolton quotation.” He gave this important information: LTC Vindman’s twin brother is the person to whom the NSC assigned the declassification review of Bolton’s manuscript.
I recommend that Yevgennihy Vindman be investigated as the possible leaker of Bolton’s manuscript.
Why are you uttering the name of a dead man that has zero involvement anymore?
The book was sold, most likely on a barebones outline to the publisher and Boltons name and position, not on a manuscript.
My Dad had a high security clearance and had the guidelines on ANYTHING he wanted to publish, even fiction.
The leak, if there really is one, came from the NSC vetting process people, most likely Lt.Col Yevgeny Vindman, Alexander Vindmans twin brother who is in charge of vetting such manuscripts. Talk about conflicts of interest!
Only after that vetting for classified processing is completed and the DOJ has had their time with it for privilege editing can it be sent to the publisher for printing. Something STINKS here. I cannot see how the President was blindsided by this unless it was deliberately done by people in the NSC who elected not to pass the information up the chain of command.
Let us not forget that on the 17 of January a NSC night ranking individual was escorted from the White House grounds because of an ongoing National Security investigation. Could quite possibly be that he was a leaker.
Mark my words - this is a long way from being over

WHAT!!! You can’t make this crap up.
“Vindmans twin brother is the person to whom the NSC assigned the declassification review of Boltons manuscript”
Unfortunately , this deep corruption may only be resolved by very uncomfortable actions. Sad.
Unlike rats, congressional pubbies don’t know what to do with power.
