Mongolia has closed from Monday until Mar. 2 all universities and educational institutes to contain the spread of a deadly coronavirus sweeping China, state media Montsame said, citing a cabinet meeting.
It has also closed border crossings for auto vehicles and pedestrian traffic, from Monday, and called for all public gatherings to be cancelled.

I work for a private school that brings students here for 3 week cultural exchange programs.
I had never taught Mongolian students before, but I just finished. They are returning to Mongolia tonight after spending the entire day at Disneyland.
These students spoke nearly perfect English. Unlike Chine, they have full access to Netflix, HBO, internet, etc. They hate the Chinese and have relied on Russia to keep their independence.
May be I had the cream of the crop, but these were very sophisticated, wonderful, educated students. NOTHING backwards about them. AND I can confirm that classes have been cancelled until March. Tlhey were dreading their layover in Beijing.
Three million people and they have “universities?” News to me.
Cambridge has quite a program there, and students travel abroad.

Under Communism the nomadic lifestyle was crushed in Mongolia. Since the fall back in the early 90’s 1/3 of the population returned to being nomadic herders.
There are plenty of videos on youtube showing yurts out on the steppes with wifi access.
I’ve seen some travel videos about Mongolia, looks like a cool place to visit.
Your welcome, and supposedly, their capitol is THE coldest capitol in the world! Ulaanbataar, or something like that.
Cold temperatures will likely immortalize the virus.
This one supposedly lives longer on cold surfaces.
I will pray for their safe return.
