Ugandan climate activist Vanessa Nakate has accused the media of racism after she was cropped out of a photograph taken with her white peers in Davos.
In an emotional video statement, Ms Nakate said that for the first time in her life she "understood the definition of the word racism".
Ms Nakate said "various" outlets, including the US' AP news agency, had removed her from photos.
AP, which has since removed the cropped photo, said there was "no ill intent".
"The photographer was trying to get a picture out fast under tight deadline and cropped it purely on composition grounds because he thought the building in the background was distracting," the news agency's director of photography, David Ake, said.
Ms Nakate gave a news conference in Davos on Friday alongside fellow climate activists Greta Thunberg, Loukina Tille, Luisa Neubauer and Isabelle Axelsson.
She later shared an article by AP in which she was cropped out of a picture of the activists.

the problem is not that they cropped her out. The problem is that they didn’t also crop out the rest of the commies.

You’d think that the ‘smart’ people doing the ‘cropping’ would be sensitive to such a charge as they were doing the cropping.
Who knows if there’s a smidgen of truth to it. I doubt it very much.
She’s a wide person so you can’t zoom in on them all.
Having her in it takes away from the youthfulness aspect of the picture without her in it.
She’s not relatively attractive and that’s not Race, that’s Face. :)
A nice clear pic of the mountains in the background would have been nice. As far as glow bull warming, trust the adults here kiddies. The alternative is far worse.

Well I would say the world is doing pretty well then if in 17 years this is the very first time she experienced racism.
And that they would “Celebrate ‘Diversity’”
This to me proves that climate change is racist.

Can’t argue that it appears like racism, whether intended or not. Sometimes the accusers are right. Why else was she cut off?

All of the people you hang around politically are racist against you, and the two biggest racists of all are the Clintons.

Could be for any of a number of different reasons but to first and foremost claim “racism” is more than a bit over the top.
If they had cut out the person on the other end, would she have cried racism?..................
Well that would be odd because there would still be 3 white people in the picture :)
The tough truth for her to face is that girl is younger, prettier, slimmer and makes for a Much Better picture.
And there’s not a building behind her.
I was only 6,000 miles away and I got cropped out too!!!
