About 100,000 tickets have been requested for President Donald Trumps rally at the Wildwoods Convention Center next week - the highest demand for any event the president has held, U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew told Fox News during an interview Sunday.
Its been exciting and Im proud to say for his event - of all the events hes done in all the country - weve had the most ticket requests, said Van Drew, R-2nd Dist., who recently switched parties after losing support from Democratic leaders for opposing impeachment.
Trump is slated to appear at the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28. Trumps re-election campaign announced he was coming to Cape May County earlier this month to support Van Drew.

Maybe not if they all vote
My uncle has a ticket and will try to attend. What I’m hearing is that Trump support is growing fast in NJ, especially south Jersey. Lots of middle aged white union workers are worried about Warren and Sanders. They enjoy having a pay check. They are also alienated by the anti white male rhetoric coming from the dems. There will be people voting for Trump that have NEVER voted for anyone without a dem label. NJ could go for Trump.
I remember when a radio host that airs at 6pm on most nights said, “Trump is not going to win Pennsylvania. It’s just not going to happen, folks.”
Seating to ticket request suggests you have a 7.4% of getting
yep...
Nobody on the demoClown side can come even close to this kind of enthusiasm and support.
Add to that that his last rally (in Minnesota I think it was), drew almost 60% non-Republicans in attendance. So there's crossover voters.
No wonder the Left is trying to get rid of Trump by any means necessary.
NJ may be lost but there are house seats in play. 100k requests in NJ Hmm..I think that at some point the rats are going to make a hard effort to sabotage one of these events because it has to be driving them crazy how successful they are. I hope they are screening these people carefully the more likely Trumps re-election becomes the more dangerous it’s going to get, these are vicious evil people.
I have tickets to this event. What are my chances of getting in?
Go now!!
I doubt the Dems could artificially drive up the numbers that high. Maybe a few thousand, but not 100K.
Trump wants to drive up the popular vote and help flip some House seats back.
I lived in NJ for many years. Wildwood is not terribly far from the Philly suburbs. One could take the ferry from Delaware and the Maryland Eastern shore, along which there are some more conservative populations. Long Islanders and people from Staten Island like to go to the Jersey Shore for long weekends; there are also conservative populations there.
Some of the more moderate people in the middle and northern parts of New Jersey may just be getting tired of Leftist policies, especially those who work in Manhattan. They may head down.
While Trump is not going to win NJ, halving the losing margin from what it was in 2016 will get him bragging points.
A huge crowd will scare the Dems. While you never know what kind of coastal winter storm may occur, usually the shore towns like Wildwood are warmer in the winter than interior, although if it is windy, that can be a problem. Still, it will probably be not as cold as Toledo was for those stuck outside. And there are plenty of bars and family friendly restaurants in Wildwood. I don’t know how many are open that time of year, though.
Wildwood is not far from Atlantic City. I’m sure the hotels are happy. Wildwood itself has a lot of lodging.
The NJ transit rail may serve Wildwood; it does serve nearby shore towns, so there’s another transportation option.
A lot of the 100K may be people looking to kill two birds with one stone- they want to be present for a Trump rally, even if they can’t get in, and they want an excuse for some time at the Jersey shore.
The shore area businesses could use an unexpected influx of people in the winter. They are still recovering from Sandy.
I read on Facebook that the governor has closed something called the Rio Grande? He’s trying to tie up the traffic. You have to take Exit 6 apparently. Or another one.
Morris County doesn’t even run Democrats on most tickets.
Not the entire north. North West NJ is solid Republican.
Our town straddles Morris & Somerset County.
