WASHINGTON - Democratic U.S. presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg unveiled a plan on Friday to slash greenhouse gas emissions from transportation by making electric vehicles accessible to even low-income families and improving access to public transit.
Bloomberg’s plan calls for all new U.S. cars to be electric by 2035, reductions of diesel pollution with electric trucks and buses, improved access to public transit, and the building of high-speed rail.
He wants to offer low and moderate-income communities a “Clean Cars for All” program with rebates for trading in old cars for electric ones.
Bloomberg, like other candidates, wants to reverse the policies of Republican President Donald Trump who is slashing rules on environment regulation while boosting output of fossil fuels.
But he is not putting a dollar figure on his climate plans because of the complexity of the issues, a difference from most of the other candidates.

Problem is, they mean what they say.
Those communists know EVERYTHING about how you should run your life. There’s NOTHING they don’t know about you and your life they can’t improve.
How the heck do you compromise with that?
Honestly, the man must lie awake in bed every night thinking up new ways to micromanage the lives of others.
That is a true sickness and a serious reason to be concerned about him EVER obtaining power.
Particularly given the fact that with his umpteen gajillion dollars he could just opt to kick back and enjoy his own life on golf courses and beaches.
When he bans refineries and gas stations, you will have to put your pickup up on cinder blocks in the driveway. Then you can sit behind the wheel and dream of the good old pre-communist days and shout “VROOM VROOM.”

All this so we can have an entire society living a life of lies.
But what if I don’t want to buy an electric car?
Sounds like Bloomberg has another “cash for clunkers” plan in mind. Worked so well last go-around. Obama would be proud.
“true sickness” — that is certainly true about everybody on the left. They are all power-mad and hate the idea of free people going about their lives doing the things that they want to do. Nothing makes leftists more miserable than people making their own decisions.
And the Electricity Fairy will power them all!
How utterly stupid is this man?
1) Car sales have cratered. SUVs dominate as the population ages and does not want to bend so low to get in a car. All of these triumphant declarations about no more gasoline cars depend on that. There weren’t going to be many of them anyway.
2) EVs fail in winter. Simply that. You can’t get any decent range with the heater on in the cabin. The fix is to suggest you should have a 2nd car for winter.
3) EVs stopped reporting monthly sales in October. Starting in July, sales were falling vs the equivalent month of 2018. It’s being hushed up. The exponential growth narrative has been smashed.
With nuclear and fossil power on the Democrats’ kill list, he is going to have to figure our where the extra electricity is going to come from.
