It amazes me how the nanny state believes it is their right (due to their righteous superiority) to dictate how each of us lives in our own country.
How could any American think this path is a good one is beyond me.
Exactly. I live in OKC and we like to spend some weekends up in the far NW portion of the Oklahoma Panhandle. About a 360 miles. I ran different scenarios between the best Tesla and my SUV. To make that trip in my SUV...it takes about 6 hours. One stop for gas...(only because there are no gas stations within 40 miles of where we stay so you fill up at the last one before getting to your destination). In the best Tesla...it would take us about 9 hours for the trip. Or more. That’s assuming there are charging stations in that remote part of Oklahoma. And there aren’t any. But if there were...we could go about 2 hours...with AC running because it’s hot in OK in the summer...then an hour or more to fully charge...then two more hours...then an hour to charge...then about 2 hours...then an hour to charge. And odds are...those numbers will not change significantly in the next many years. Unless you have a semi-trailer size battery.
What a complete loser
Electric cars SUCK. PERIOD
It didnt end well for Dr. Raymond Cocteau.
So, well into this next Grand Solar Minimum hed have electric cars using a significant part of their charge to keep the car defrosted, in the many states that will be significantly colder then. Resulting in much fewer miles per charge.
Maybe theyll need to drive in snowsuits? Or add a propane RV heater?
What’s his plan for mining the materials needed to make batteries and other materials that will go into the car? Things like rubber, which contains petroleum as well as carbon. Or is his plan to cut down all the rubber trees to use a natural rubber? Of course that will add CO2 to the atmosphere.
Don’t forget the disposal of the batteries!
“By 2035 Bloomberg will also ban sodas, reds meat, and smoking.”
If anyone ever wondered what life would be like if the neighborhood busybody who peeks through your windows becomes president, vote for this pompous ass and find out.
You betcha! It is -2 as I look out at a building blizzard. The neighbor rancher who leases our pasturage has been feeding cattle for the last 6 hours with an evil diesel, 4 wheel drive pick up. His wife is in town, 40 miles, with their evil Suburban. Somehow, I don't think Bloomer's Voltwagen is going to get it for us.
So where is this electric supply/battery storage going to come from? I do consider the possibility that perhaps a super-capacitor could be developed, that would store a sizable amount of energy, and could be modulated for gradual discharge of energy, that would replace the conventional idea of batteries.
But more to the point, why not develop a very small version of the Thorium fueled Molten Salt atomic pile, and use the heat energy it develops to drive the ground vehicle? Perhaps by a Stirling design of reciprocating engine, using air as a medium, or by a closed system of a steam turbine, using superheated steam as a transfer fluid, condensing and recycling the fluid continuously, either driving a small electric generation system.
A secondary use of such a power plant would be to connect it to the home system in those off hours when it is not operating on the road, so the atomic pile is in continuous operation 24/7/365, a mode of power generation running continuously.
The best thing about all electric cars by 2035 is walking will do people good.
Electric vehicles are useless in deep-winter states.
OCD Mini Mike.
Bloomberg Stupid Plan
1) Ban Internal Combustion Engine
2) Mandate External Combustion Engine
Because Democrats own stock in the other companies.
Bingo!
Between him and Bernie, look out...
In truth all their candidates are control freaks.
Obama-phones included with every Mini-Mike Tesla.
Yep. Trump's tweets almost come pre-written.
Here he is having his SUV plugged in.... of wait that is just the a/c unit.
