For the religious among us, at least those professing to be Christians, Christmas is a time of reflection on the birth of the Savior, signified in hearts by love and wishes of peace and goodwill towards peoples worldwide, and sometimes on lawns and rooftops by manger scenes and large illuminated stars.
Under the best conditions, for Christians and non-Christians alike, the Christmas season is a time of peace, love, and of sharing home, hearth, and meals with family and friends.
For some, it is a time to give back to the community, to help the homeless and provide blankets, coats, and food to those in need, and toys for poor families with children and for the families of our veterans whove made the ultimate sacrifice or who are serving far from home.
Yet since the latter part of the twentieth century, Christmas has also become a time of gifts, gifts, gifts and toys, toys, toys -- the rampant consumerism that generation after generation complains has come to overshadow the holidays true meaning. Despite the complaining, most people seem to participate -- some to a joyous degree -- in the purchase and exchange-fest Christmas has become. Both givers and recipients faces light up when the gifts are unwrapped, and we all know retailers love Christmas.
Another Christmas tradition, since televisions have populated nearly every home, is the watching of Christmas specials. Christmas, like no other time of year, is a time to experience love, joy, and nostalgia through the shared watching of television shows viewed year after year. One of the most beloved shared Christmas viewing experience is How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

The Bible says not to let others steal your joy. The key word there is "let". We have it within our power to decide whether or not we will by joyful. I choose to be joyful. We have Libturd never-Trumper family coming over today for an early Christmas. I'm going to enjoy the hell out of today. Already sipping on my kahlua and coffee and smacking on some donuts. Just getting warmed up.
MERRY Christmas!
Cancel Earth Day then.
Except when they get in my face I ignore them. I will celebrate the birth of Jesus how I please.
Now have some potato candy. I made it myself.
Merry Christmas.
Happy birthday, Jesus.
‘Tis the reason for the season.
And today in our local newspaper, The IndyStar, there was a front page, above the fold story about Christmas tree farms going out of business because of climate change. Of course if you read the story you’ll find out the real reasons is 1. CT farmers are aging out and not being replaced by younger people, 2. People preference have changed from Scotch and white pines, to firs which have never grown in Indiana. But why let facts screw up a great headline and lead paragraph.
This is my recall how this season was observed by Catholics prior to the Vat 2 changes plus other changes is offered here

Yeah, they’re upset over the religious overtones of Christmas.
Tell these cucks to F O and do what you want.
In our capital Lansing, Michigan the news had on past few days of the Satanists being allowed to put up their Christmas display right along side the Nativity. Both displays have to be taken down every night. Hideous photo’s of people wearing sheep horns, upside down crosses painted on their foreheads, etc.
For climate nags....... off with your heads.
You are simply not required in America
Lots of people sure are going to be chagrined at the Final Judgement.
After hearing of the price of real trees this year, I am so glad we bought artificial trees for years. A lot less hassle & mess & pre-lit & decorated ones make life simpler as you get older.
Tell them to set their thermostats to 67 degrees for winter, to get rid of their air conditioners, to stop driving cars and going on vacations via plane.
If they dont, then THEY are Part of the Problem and should ‘off’ themselves in shame.
But of course so many of these ‘caring’ people are simply attention whores, and YOU have the Right to tell them to shut up shut up when they launch their hypocritical eco-religous preachings at you.
These climate kooks would be pathetic if they were not so sickening and just plain disgusting.
You couldn’t write a script as off the wall nutty as the climate kooks.
Like the Huns and Vandals, we are being overrun with them.
