WASHINGTON (AP) The top Senate Republican is denouncing the unfair House impeachment of President Donald Trump and reassuring Trump and his supporters that moments like this are why the United States Senate exists.
Sen. Mitch McConnell, in remarks prepared for a Thursday floor speech, accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of being afraid to send their shoddy work product to the Senate after she threw uncertainty into the impeachment process by refusing to say when she would send two impeachment articles to the Senate for a trial.

I thought this was wimpy as hell. The Republicans need to play hardball instead of letting Nancy get away with extortion.
McConnell finally grew a pair.
Nancy knows how badly they screwed up and now the Senate is going to make it right.
Dismissal!!

Ding ding.
How so?
What’s the deal with Mitch and cocaine?
The house says it will continue investigating trump, so it will never be over.
Nancy is interfering with the Senate and she has absolutely no right to do so.
do nothing nancy...
I suggest using this impeachment vote as a club in the election along the following lines. Black unemployment is at a new low due to Trump’s policies. The Democrat (fill in name here) voted to try to remove Trump and end his economic policies, thereby SENDING BLACKS BACK TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE AND THE PRISON PIPELINE AGAIN. Because (fill in name here) despises them so much!

Whoop-de-doo. Who cares?
But Mitch implied it will stop dead in its tracks in the Senate.
Each time. So let the Democrats Impeach to their own delight. The Senate will just keep dismissing the madness.
Pardon my stupidity, but if it’s dismissed, does Trump still count as “impeached”?
yeah I think the more she hangs onto it the worse she looks, if that’s possible. Also it creates more of an impression of suspicious motivation.
I think even Pelosi is smart enough to know that would be a bad political move.
Hasn’t what they have basically done the last 2 1/2-3 years been a politically bad move? Spying on Trump...then attempting to tie Trump to Russian collusion... Falsifying FISAs...not to mention trumping up impeachment of a very popular President..who did nothing wrong.
I guess I’m out of the loop. Why is he referred to as “cocaine” Mitch?
Nope. They are hemorrhaging voters the longer this goes on. Recent polling has all shown they starting to even lose their base on this.
If the Dems want to keep the bleeding going well into 2020, the GOP should stay out of their way and let them.
If their intent is to drag the Mueller grand jury testimony into the process, then why did they vote on the impeachment articles before seeing it? And why did they predicate their stupid abuse of power charge on a phone call that took place ONE DAY AFTER Mueller's farce ended with his bizarre testimony before Nadlers committee?
-—Hasnt what they have basically done the last 2 1/2-3 years been a politically bad move?—
Yes.
-—Spying on Trump...then attempting to tie Trump to Russian collusion...Falsifying FISAs...-—
They expected her to win so nobody would ever know.

When your loud left-wing base demands you do what they want, it was easier for Nancy to get roped in.
The Dems have been slowly led for several years down the road of bad decisions, where they don’t have the courage to go backwards, and going forward seems to make things worse. I think in a lot of ways, they’re just stuck with no good outcomes.
If we were in a recession, Trump wouldn’t have been impeached. They would just count on beating him in November. Now they’re afraid they can’t do that.
I believe so.
But from this group of whack jobs, we all know Trump by now, hell wear it as a badge of honor!
Those are my thoughts as well. His statement at the end that these articles are "constitutional incoherence" suggest that.
