WASHINGTON (AP) — The top Senate Republican is denouncing the “unfair” House impeachment of President Donald Trump and reassuring Trump and his supporters that “moments like this are why the United States Senate exists.”
Sen. Mitch McConnell, in remarks prepared for a Thursday floor speech, accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of being afraid to send “their shoddy work product to the Senate” after she threw uncertainty into the impeachment process by refusing to say when she would send two impeachment articles to the Senate for a trial.

McConnell should say that the existing Senate rules stand. Same ones as for Clinton's impeachment. Then she will have to come up with another excuse not to send over the articles.
If she is concerned about fairness of the Senate trial just point out that each legislative house writes its own rules so the House cannot dictate to the Senate about what rules are 'fair'.
IMO, Pelosi will hold the articles back in a gamble that she’ll flip the Senate in November, then, even should DJT prevail, he’ll be tossed out by a Democrat majority.

I watched McConnell and it was easy to read between the lines: The senate will not accept these illegitimate and unacceptable Articles of Impeachment.
Maybe, but that would be a day late and a dollar short. She scheduled the vote. She held the vote. Her idiot fellow Democrats voted it through.

This is just a pahtetically desperate attempt by the Dems to change the results of the Muller investigation. Muller report made it clear there is NOTHING AT ALL here. The Dems are desperately grasping at straws to try an make something out of nothing rather then doing the work the American people sent them to DC to do.

You’re obviously correct. The Dems have ZERO good outcomes here. To pretend they’re some grand strategists who will pull something out of the hat near the end because they’re such geniuses is a paranoid fantasy.
Nope. They are hemorrhaging voters the longer this goes on. Recent polling has all shown they starting to even lose their base on this.
If the Dems want to keep the bleeding going well into 2020, the GOP should stay out of their way and let them.
