Unless he does this, Botoxic is in charge.

Are you kidding?

For goofy Pelosi to hold onto it and not send it to the Senate is like holding back YESTERDAY'S NEWS.

The Dimms have clearly dug a DEEP, DEEP HOLE... and they're in it!

I’m doing to include my list in this answer.

There are two components at work here:

One is the procedural “lawfare” assault on Trump. The delay helps the DemoKKKrats because they are seeking in court all of the Mulehead Grand Jury material on which to base NEW charges. They also are counting on some of the guys indicted in the Rudy-related Ukrainian scam to produce more material.

Two is the court of public opinion, which, as you rightly suggest, is where the DemoKKkrats are losing BIG. However, my sense is that they already figured they are as damaged as they can get, that they have already driven off all but their core supporters, so they must appease them.

I’m even thinking Botoxic knows she has lost the House next year, and thus they MUST to this now. However, Mark Meadows announced his resignation in 2020 today, bringing the total of Rs resigning/retiring to 23 (vs 10 DemoKKKrats, including Katie Hill and The Bullfrog, Elijah Cummings, who croaked). So while I am a LITTLE more optimistic about re-taking the House-—we got two good candidates in the TX flipped seats; Tom Kean in NJ; a great candidate in UT 4; and several others; we are still about 15 seats short of re-taking the House. (I am assuming that seats like Meadows’, which are solid red, will stay in GOP hands-—not a completely solid assumption).

So the SENATE rules, which were posted here on FR and are in my Twit thread today, say that nothing happens in the Senate until they get the articles of impeachment. If Botoxic doesn’t transmit, theoretically, the Senate can do nothing.

Is there a solution to this? Yes, change the rules. But that’s trickier than it sounds. The new rule would be something like “Section 1 of the impeachment rules are hereby amended to say that the Senate will commence its impeachment procedures upon ITS certification of am impeachment vote in the House . . .” In other words, the trial starts when WE say, and the Senate can “certify” any time it wants.

The RESOLUTION for this vote (51 to carry) is where the danger lays. NeverTrumpers like Minion could use the arcane and confusing process of a rules change to vote against it. Minion would only need 3 others (Tom Collins, MurCowSki, and Burrito, for example) and he can block the change, thereby keeping all power in Botoxic’s hands.

THIS CONCERNS ME. They should be having a rule vote NOW. TODAY. But instead Yertle is complaining about Botoxic and the House. Not good.

BTW, “Sundance” at Conservative Treehouse has been dead on in his prophecy as to how the House vote would go. He outlined the rules changes two months ago and showed that it would be a clown circus from the get-go. He has missed some things in the past (had Trump with 73m pop vote and had Sessions resigning in August 2017 “for sure”), but he has been absolutely correct in his analysis of the “Lawfare” strategy of impeachment.

The point is, I don’t think Botoxic at all cares about the popular perception, or even losing the House. She is trying to pry 4 Senators off to prevent a rules change and thus a full unanimous acquittal of Trump (which is what will happen if they change the rule, cuz even Minion won’t vote in public to convict Trump.)
