At 9:30am tomorrow morning, on the Senate floor, I will speak about House Democrats’ precedent-breaking impeachment of the President of the United States.
I agree, and I think there are a lot of fair minded people out there who don’t bother to vote. I suspect we’re going to see a rally behind Trump that Nancy didn’t see coming.

Nah ....mitch knows his rules and what he can force or stop.
Every vote is going to matter in 2020.
We need to send a clear message that a vast majority of people support Trump’s policies.
And as someone (maybe you!) pointed out on another thread, a demented House Speaker meddling in Senate affairs might be the one thing that pisses off even the biggest Trump-haters in the Senate enough to acquit him in a two-minute trial.
It shall NOT be his worst by the longest of shots! Never forget that the U.S. Senate is the upper chamber of the legislative branch and that fact is not lost on them. Their role is to be a check to the House of Representatives. The Senate has never taken dictates from the House as they have their own rules, which, as I say, McConnell is a master of. He has and will relish the majority that his fellow citizens gave to his party and will use it appropriately.

The Congress started off with a Clown Car pulling into the House and everyone jumping out.
Heck I went on twitter to see what these Dress up Impeachment Parties were about.....the photos were not surprising who they were. People can be really dense to say the least....and they may or not vote?
The Senate needs to correct this assault on the nation immediately.
The House of Representatives is a disgrace to the nation. It is a treasonous body trying to overthrow the government of the United States...as bizarre as that seems.
The Founders never imagined such a possibility.

Nothing in the Constitution speaks of the House transmitting the article of impeachment to the Senate. Just tell the House to screw off and start the Impeachment Trial when you want.

This has the stench of Soros payoffs all over it.
McConnell will likely come across steady in what he has to say.....and not to be underestimated. He’s got his finger firmly on this game they’re playing and knows his stuff frontward and backward.....and He fully knows he’s got the President and the Repbulicans standing with him....no matter what he says, the master of gamemanship will enter the room....and he’s got the Power of the Senate to back him.
I admit I’m eager to know what this is directly about...it culd be a number of things.
In my dreams the house is suspended.
His description of the House action as ‘precedent breaking’ is a good clue. It is his charitable way of saying ‘these fools are crazy’.
Hope he ends this farce now.
