I’m right there with you in NY.
Hell we had our share of good times in these states so moving on isn’t a loss.
I loved working in Manhattan back in the day.
Now it’s time to move to PA
you’re both right.
Yep. There will be a Social Credit Score that allows you to purchase electricity. Speak against the government and you will do it in the dark.
The reverse Midas touch, everything Progressives touch turn to manure.
Let the Govener pull a Mussolini thing and seize private industry. Next fire his disaster of forestry management causes the State will own, no more blaming the power companies for massive forest fires that have so much fuel they cannot be fought.
Once all the State money is gone the Democrats will have no reason to stay in power. Vampires are not attracted to Bloodless corpses.
That is how it works in Nigeria.
There is plenty of electricity provided for the modern capital city—that is the first priority of the power company.
Outlying areas get more and more unreliable power as they get further from the capital.
That is what happens when government controls a third world utility company.
This .. with no warning other than a hearty Hi Ho FU !
Good question. I found this:

What’s really stupid is there are so many RICHER companies in California that they can destroy through regulation and take over.
Maybe this is just practice.
They broke it, let them fix it. Mayne they'll learn something in the process.
My guess is that the Governor wants the state to take over the company and control it. Talk about gaining POWER!
*
If the state takes over PG&E good governor will see a mass exodus the likes never seen before. Hope he does it.
Its a state level conspiracy to overtake their company. Then they will inflict horrific fraudulent green policies on the people of CA that only the elite can afford.
California has a national Guard. They can take the capital and arrest the traitors.
if Californication manages its utilities as corruptly as it supposedly ‘regulates’ them, ha ha, then sell your Tesla stock (you can’t run electric cars without electricity!)
I’d rather use the occasion to have a GOP POTUS forcefully demonstrate the improvements that are possible for PG&E if it is run NOT on California “green mandates” but only in the best interests of (a) the rate payers and (b) the health of PG&E so that it can afford to make the kinds of investments it needs to make. That demonstration might move some of the sheeple-captives in California off the Left/Progressive/Liberal plantation.
Just how does a public utility go bankrupt?! Only in California....
California is beyond a lost cause.
I have a forward thinking solution for the gubner...force every Californian to ride a bicycle generator at least 6 hours per day and charge them extra for the electricity because of the health benefits that would be gained. If any old folks die from the exertion, an added benefit as less medicaid cost to the the state. WIN, WIN, WIN...
Isnt California where they wont prosecute people for shoplifting?
Doesnt somebody actually have to pay for the stolen merchandise?
Who could that be?
If you like your power company, you can keep your power company.
Isn’t bankruptcy handled in court? How is a governor setting conditions. Up to the judge.
