I trust my instincts on this. Gov. Newsom wants the democrat controlled state to own and control the power grid in order to develop another pool of money worth billions in order for them to loot it.

That was my thought the other day when I first read about this. Talk about strong-arming. I feel bad for the (few) conservatives who are left in Commifornia.

PG/E should shut down their whole power grid/system, lock everything down, lock their doors, and destroy all keys, computer programs and give Comrade Newsome the biggest middle finger ever seen.

I suspect that there’s someone with a soul left there and would not do that knowing that the people who are going to be hurt the worst are not the ones behind this mess.

Mr. mm and I are making out NYEXIT and are in the process of making ourselves as energy independent as possible. I garden and know how to can and sew and he can fix ANYTHING. We have skills that would serve us well should the grid go down.

loss of reliable, affordable power to the great unwashed masses is the one thing that could cause the leftist Dems to be removed from power at the ballot box ...

With the state taking over, does
a California citizen have the right
to sue the state if their home
burns down due to fires caused by
the states’ newly aquired power
grid?
I highly doubt the state will
be able to prevent the wildfires
any more than PG&E could. Acts
of god are beyond man’s control.
The enviro wackos caused this
dilemma. I don’t hear anything
about other states battling
massive wildfires due to lightning
strikes on unmaintained sections
of a utilities’ rights of way.
Almost all other utilities
recognise the problems associated
with massive amounts of underbrush
which is allowed to accumulate
in areas where fire might be a
risk.

What you don’t understand is that the good people of California have been paying for surcharges for decades that the PUC has rubberstamped with the Democrat’s total approval. The money has not been used for what it was supposed to pay for.

The San Bruno pipeline explosion that blew up a neighborhood in the SF Bay area and killed numerous people? PG & E knew about it long before it happened and was charging all of its customers ( with CA PUC approval ) another surcharge to pay for its repair. Too bad that it never was repaired and all those people had their homes blown to smithereens and or died in the explosion.

Exactly - then the plan will be to gouge Kalifornians out the ying-yang (I’ve never figured out exactly where the ying-yang is on a person’s physiology) to garner more money for the State to throw away.

My point was, the state isn’t
going to be able to stop
wildfiress any more than PG&E
is, given the state’s policies
of clear cutting brush from
rights of way. California will
keep burning.
