All good points. I'd suggest that demographics is a much smaller factor than
urbanization in these long-term trends.
Rural America is declining in population relative to urban America -- and in many areas is declining in population outright.
The prototypical Democrat voter in many areas is a 20-something white person from an affluent suburban family who has received an expensive college education but has nothing to show for it. This person looks at a 10'x10' patch of grass outside his condominium building and thinks it's a wilderness area.

Unless of course we stopped gibumdat. Once they actually work for a living and have to pay taxes, demographics shift.
Work requirements and drug tests for welfare would fix 90% of this crap.

Agreed. The recent reform to SNAP is a good start, but is just a start. In Trump’s economy there is no excuse for any able-bodied person to be on welfare.
