The Saudi national who killed three people during last weeks shooting spree at Naval Air Station Pensacola filed a complaint against one of his instructors earlier this year alleging that he had called him Porn Stash a nickname that infuriated him, a report says.
Mohammed Alshamrani, who prepared the document with the help of two American classmates, according to The New York Times, claimed teacher James Day labeled him with the term at the end of a meteorology class in April.
In the complaint, Alshamrani wrote that Day was asking about 10 students around the room if they had any questions before dismissal. When he turned to Alshamrani, Day allegedly addressed him as Porn Stash.
Laughing, he continued to ask, What? Have you not seen a porn star before? Alshamrani reportedly wrote in the complaint. After I did not respond, he just let go of the subject.
The nickname is a reference to the stereotype that adult male film stars have mustaches. It was spelled "porn stash" as opposed to "porn 'stache" in the official complaint.
I was infuriated as to why he would say that in front of the class, the Times quoted Alshamrani as saying.
Day is employed by Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma, subcontractor to CAE USA, which offers instruction to aviation students in the civilian and military fields, according to the newspaper.
Following the alleged incident, Alshamrani reported it to CAE USAs managers, The New York Times says. The company offered to have Day apologize, but Alshamrani rejected that proposal and instead talked with an office in the Navy that handles international students, the newspaper added, citing a person who spoke with Alshamrani after he filed the complaint.
That same person said numerous government employees believed Day should be disciplined, yet he continued to teach.

What we now call the pornstache was actually the style du jour in the 1970s and 80s, when it connoted manliness and virility. However, while the style began to fall out of mainstream fashion, it was still heavily favored by male porn stars (possibly because they felt it reinforced their masculinity). The pornstache in modern times is both a symbol of sexual lasciviousness and a hint that the wearer is out of touch with current fashions. The pornstatche can also be an ironic statement when sported by classically handsome young men.
The pornstache was revived as a pop-culture term in 2013, when the popular Netflix show Orange Is the New Black featured a character named George Pornstache Mendez, played by Pablo Schreiber, who sports a dark and bushy specimen of pornstache.
It looks more like a gay porn stash to me.
Was that yours? I wasn't an aviator, but most nicknames I got were derivations of my last name.
n the military, those who have not had basic training, and are elite Saudi Muslims with burgeoning egos, all need to be made humble to be able to take orders while flying jets at Mach 1.5
In this article we see the Obama meme of special treatment for Muslims. Not one of these Koran toting a$$holes should be allowed in any flight program without successful completion of US Marine basic training.
I am gonna guess that you have never been through Basic.
Agreed. What such whiny crybabies we have these days everywhere one can see. Whatever happened to the days when we let words just roll off our backs like water does off a ducks back? For crying out loud. Now we have such maladjusted spoiled snowflakes who now just go out and start killing innocent people all because someone called them a petty name. What is the world coming to?!
All he had was a cattle futures magazine with that month focusing on pigs. Well, it could be because of all the nighties and thongs he drew on the swine.
I think it is inappropriate to call that a “pornstache”. That is clearly a “moleststache” variant, and the instructor should have been trained to recognize it.
That said, insulting an Arab man’s mustache would be considered “fightin’ words” since to his perception, it is a symbol of his virility and manhood. Military instructors who deal with foreign students are given training exactly on these things.
Reason to shoot up the place? No. Full stop. The instructor hurt his feelings, he didn’t spark a massacre.
“”””””Right, Fruit Loops.”””””””””
I told you I wanted to be called ROCKET MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when my son received his Naval Aviator’s wings.
The informal winging ceremony, called the “soft winging”, when they received their flight suit leather patches was like a roast: the instructor/master of ceremonies first announced that public humiliation was an integral part of naval flight training, and then proceeded to tell each aviation candidate’s most embarrassing flight training story to the assembled families and friends. It was hilarious, and nobody got his or her nose out of joint.
The next day was the formal winging, everybody in their dress uniforms.
The wings were pinned to each candidate’s chest by a designated family member or friend, and the emcee was sure to give exact measurements for the placement of the wings on the Marines’ uniforms. “For the Navy,” he said, “just pin the wings somewhere on the chest!”
Sorry, (a now) obscure BBT reference to Howard the Astronaut.
:-)
ALL military instructors call their students inappropriate names. There are no exceptions.
I wonder what Gunny R. Lee Ermey would have called him.
It’s cool. I’m usually good with obscure things, but that one I didn’t get. 8~)
Hazing is a good thing, really.
It finds the mentally unstable in a controlled way, rather than allowing the nuts to cause greater harm in the wild.
Case in point: what would this guy have done after getting in the seat of an armed warplane?
The instructor should get a medal.
The last couple years of the Frauds illegal reign, I was hearing recruiting radio commercials telling me that the US military would meet my emotional needs.
I got so tired of those “America’s Navy” disaster relief PC commercials. It’s the United States Navy. Why is that so difficult?
Normal people learn that before they leave the playgound
Just an attempt to justify the killing of innocents by a low scum terrorist.
Ya can kill em, but ya can’t call em names.
( a cool, since passed, local FM radio host used to say that about the mooslims post 9/11. Always cracked me up.
(Sorry. Not funny, really.) BIH PornStash.
