U.S. Northern Command
We are saddened by the recent attacks at U.S. Navy installations. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the fallen and wounded.
Our CDR directed DoD installations, facilities & units in NORTHCOM's area of responsibility to immediately assess force protection measures and implement increased random security measures for their facilities.
See something. Say something.
I see Muslims.
But don’t say anything about Islam.
Id sure as heck hope so.
That said, Saudis have been a problem for a long time. Theyre all from upper class families, some are sons of the king (because of Muslim polygamy, they can have 60 or so heirs and then choose one, which leads to resentment), but they all feel privileged.
Even in non-military regular college courses, I have known people who have worked with Saudi students. Theyre hostile, arrogant, and cheat like mad, just assuming they can buy somebody to take the test for them.
Only about 10% of Muslims are terrorists, but about 89% will stay quiet about what they know of planned terrorists attacks.
Oh, Northern command has the sadz...
Having worked in the ME the last few years, I agree with your post. God bless.
Random
Sounds effective.
“...increased random security measures....”
Poor, poor response. We need immediate increase in force protection. Our on-duty military personnel should carry sidearms wherever they are. “Gun-free” zones on military bases is sheer nonsense. The civilian sheriff’s department did good work, but the base security should have had it under control.
Fire that CDR and assign one who knows what he is doing.
Woopity-do.
Does this mean that our soldiers will be able to carry their side arms on base?
If not, its just CYA.
I’m sure there’s some good ones. But everybody I’ve known who has taught them at college level has had a problem with the ME students in general, and the Saudis in particular. They seem to believe that buying the test results is the same as knowing the material.
I recall that not long ago, the current Saudi government (the Crown Prince) focused on this after a recent serious engineering failure. Another reason I think this attack was not directed only at the US, but at the current Saudi government.
We learn the lesson over and over.
Pigs who are trained to sniff out Muslims should be posted at the gates and around the perimeter.
Well, yeah.
But don’t say that.
Paraphrasing Ron White, get a gun
“Does this mean that our soldiers will be able to carry their side arms on base?”
That IMO is the only question that should be being asked.
Only about 10% of Muslims are terrorists, but about 89% will stay quiet about what they know of planned terrorists attacks.
Top military brass swallows. Too many of Obama's perfumed princes are lingering on, too many good men fired or shunted out.
NORTHCOM first needs to pull its Hotel out of its collective PC Alpha.
