Law scholar Alan Dershowitz predicted the next Democrat elected president of the United States will be impeached as a result of the same "open-ended" criteria the party is currently using to impeach President Trump.
"They have created open-ended criteria which bear no relationship to the word of the Constitution itself," Dershowitz said Sunday on Fox News. "If President Trump is impeached, it will set a terrible precedent, which will weaponize impeachment, and the next Democrat who gets elected will be impeached."
How many foreign policy decisions have been made by presidents over the years in order to help them get reelected?" Dershowitz asked. "If we start making that an impeachable offense, there will be no presidents left."

They could do so but the timing needs to be right.....Dershowitz has already said it’s wrong in many ways on Levin tonight.
I say we start an impeachment on the Dem candidate as soon as one is nominated! :)

Well they’ve been doing far more thus far than I’ve seen before....and the ball isn’t fully in their court yet. (that we see)....I say let time and tide do what it does as this war isn’t over by any means.
You are using a Dem standard for impeachment. (not that I’m against that) The Constitutional standard only applies to treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors committed while in office.
If a democrat is elected we need to start impeachment the following week. Democrat made up their lies... we can do the same.
Better choice would be to peacefully divide the country. One conservative United States (CUS) and one Progressive United States (PUS)...

We should demand that impeachment proceedings begin against all the left-leaning Supreme Court Justices. Just as soon as we win the House back next November.

Alan Dershowitz wrote a book AGAINST the Trump impeachment: He’s a liberal Democrat but he thinks its dangerous to pursue it.
But they aren’t listening to him and they will come to regret it.
Republicans (at least true conservatives) do not at all have the power of the media and permanent government bureaucracy on their side - and never will.
I doubt it. Once Trump is finished (hopefully after a second term) the GOPe will call a meeting with the dems and say “Thank god that’s over, sorry about having to side with him sometimes. It’s those damned red state voters, wish we could stick around without them. Anyway, let’s let bygones be bygones and return to business as usual.”
