Is Elise Stefanik America First or is she just posing?
At VDARE, poster Washington Watcher II wrote an interesting take on the new star within the GOP.
Washington Watcher II notes that “Her aggressive questioning of witnesses during last month’s impeachment hearings made her a national figure and a prominent White House ally.” However, he points out that immigration patriots should be skeptical of Stefanik based on her track record. Ultimately, he believes that “apparent loyalty to the president matters far more than America First.”
If anybody in her district or thereabouts can give the scoop on her, I'm all ears.
When it comes to THE most important issue, immigration, she is a Bush League Republican.

Stefanik opposed Trump’s 2017 executive order imposing a temporary ban on travel and immigration to the United States by nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries.[55]
Stefanik declined to condemn the Trump administration family separation policy,[56] instead publishing a press release congratulating Trump after he signed an Executive Order to suspend new separations and detain families.[57]
On March 26, 2019, Stefanik was one of fourteen Republicans to vote with all House Democrats to override President Trump’s veto of a measure unwinding the latter’s declaration of a national emergency at the southern border.[58]

She has fought hard in these hearings. This is not a time to go after her like this. Makes me wonder who is behind it. She hurts the Dem cause last week, and now we get this story.

Taxes
On Tuesday, December 19, 2017, Stefanik voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. In a December 18 Facebook post, Stefanik asserted: “the final bill does not adequately protect the state and local tax deduction that so many in our district and across New York rely on ... New York is one of the highest taxed states in the country, and families here rely on this important deduction to make ends meet.”[65]
Net neutrality
After the Federal Communications Commission decided to repeal Obama-era net neutrality in December 2017, Stefanik urged her congressional colleagues to pass legislation restoring the policy.[66]
Cybersecurity
In September 2018, Stefanik co-sponsored, together with Seth Moulton and Dan Donovan, the “Cyber Ready Workforce Act” advanced by Jacky Rosen. The legislation would create a grant program within the Department of Labor to “create, implement and expand registered apprenticeships” in cybersecurity. It aims to offer certifications and connect participants with businesses in order to “boost the number” workers for federal jobs in said trade.[67][68]
LGBT issues
In the 116th Congress, Stefanik was one of eight Republicans to vote in favor of the Equality Act.[69][70]
What is she good on? Not much it appears.
So, how do you really feel?
She represents a district in upstate New York that is dying a slow death. It’s a big reason why NY keeps losing House seats after every census. I’m sure that’s a big reason why she’s so accommodating on immigration.

Interesting timing on this hit piece. She must have hit a mark.
There are trolls, misinformed, ill-informed opinionated bobble-heads saying she’s for DACA.
She’s for DACA CLEANUP the same as POTUS is for DACA CLEANUP.
DACA as a program is dead and gone. POTUS killed it. What does that mean?
It means no new DACA applications are being accepted.
The 800,000+ DACA applications previously taken in are under review.
What POTUS and Stefanik are supporting is a humane way of treating adults who were brought here as young children, who are fluent in the language just as you and me, who have no ties to their country of origin. In other words, they look like Americans, they talk like Americans, they are for all intents and purposes Ameicans and it would be a scandal to boot them out to a country they do not know, they don’t speak the language, they would be lost and unsafe in.
That said, there are liars and scammers that applied to DACA and they need to be rooted out.
This is the CLEANUP phase.
Stefanik is for the cleanup. When shes says she wants to address DACA, some knuckledraggers think that means she supports open borders. They are wrong. Don’t listen to them.
What is she good on? Being a repub from NY and fighting to expose the coup against Trump.
