House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) investigated Ranking Member Devin Nunes (D-CA) as part of his impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, the committee report revealed on Tuesday.
The revelation that Schiff had obtained telephone records related to Nunes was the only new revelation in the report, which otherwise re-hashed Democrats arguments in favor of impeaching Trump for allegedly asking Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election.
In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Schiff declined to say when the committee had obtained the records, but given the Democrats repeated questions during the inquiry about administration officials who had worked with Nunes, such as former Intelligence Committee staffer (now National Security Council official) Kash Patel, it is likely the Democrats sought those records before or during the hearings.
The report cites media reports that Lev Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani who has ben indicted on campaign finance charges, claimed that Nunes tried to meet with Ukrainians to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden. (Nunes had threatened to sue those media outlets, and did so on Tuesday, suing CNN for defamation; he does not appear to have been given an opportunity to answer the allegations in the report.)

Sounds like all they got was....talked with so and so for 8 minutes etc etc
Censure. Yep. That would be their best option at this point.
A useless, meaningless, futile, pointless and laughable gesture on their part.
Might as well put the President on Double Secret Probation.
If there’s a Senate trial, subpoena Schiff’s records.
Come on, you're better than this - I've seen some of your prior posts.
For one, the entire impeachment process is entirely within constitutional boundaries. This isn't a criminal nor civil lawsuit which follow well established, standardized rules of procedure, evidence, etc. Rather, it is entirely political, subject to only how far one wishes to push prior precedent and/or challenge public opinion.
Two, proglibs don't complain about "McCarthism" because they think it's unfair; rather, they complain because they think it's effective. They have no moral compunction about utilizing the same tactics & techniques - as long as it's in their favor.
Finally, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Who said "Moderation in the protection of liberty is no virtue; extremism in the defense of freedom is no vice."? As far as proglibs are concerned, their extremism is pro-American. If you really feel that the environment is endangered, that Trump represents a right wing block of xtian racists, then of course you're going to do whatever it takes to thwart that threat.
The real issue is more fundamental: How did two opposing schools of thought become so entrenched? Like CWI, when two sides simply cannot agree on basic principles, then it becomes a fight to see who will control the outcome, and impose those results on the other.
I think Dems are (rightly) afraid that impeaching Trump will only increase his poll numbers and increase his chances of reelection.
LOL. The Dems just investigated and released the private phone records of the minority GOP members of the “impeachment” committee. They fear nothing, obviously. Sorry.
I skimmed right over that. Oops.
and here we go
Giuliani mystery phone calls, texts uncovered by Democrats’ impeachment report
The president’s personal lawyer is at the center of questions about Trump’s handling of aid to Ukraine.

Should be a fun time when Shifty Schiff gets on the stand under oath then starts his song and dance for the legal record.
Shock? Really? Who still thinks laws apply to Democrats? Are you that stupid?
The Dems chose the money part of their party over the rabid left, because the DNC HAS NO MONEY.
The Dems their business through their billionaire donors and their orgs. The DNC doesn’t need money. In fact it seems the people in control of party want the DNC broke and subservient to Obama/Hillary/Etc. Recall Hillary taking over the DNC structure in 2016. I expect the same will happen in 2020.
If only there were still duels. Schiff would choose as his weapon: sissy-slapping at ten paces.
Giuliani mystery phone calls, texts uncovered by Democrats impeachment report
If there was anything there they would have released/Leaked it by now
If theres a Senate trial, subpoena Schiffs records.

Even better.... If theres a Senate trial, subpoena Schiff.
Put this treasonous bastard on the hot seat.
Demand to know when he first colluded with attorneys for the whistleblower. When did he first know his friend Ed Buck killed two faggots at his home? And why conduct an illegal phone search of Mr. Nunez?
Also, this isn't simply a matter of what Schiff looked at. Was it okay for Schiff to PUBLICLY RELEASE THAT INFORMATION?? Isn't Schiff required to PROTECT it from public dissemination?
Executive privilege only applies to DEMONRAT Presidents, am I right?
The only problem with this approach is that there aren't enough misfits among the American voters to have a Democrat House majority with people like this.
Schitt and Waddler may have nothing to fear, but there are dozens of House members who know damn well that they don't have much of a future in Congress if they hitch their wagons to these two.
And being anonymous is not mandatory. He can be called and should be.
Frankly, I tghink he has already testified....which is a clever way of keeping him anonymous.
Schiff deserves to be hung with rusty barbed wire!!!
Look, I like a lot of your posts, but sometimes you too seem to jump on the crazy train. This entire impeachment process is following easy to follow, very precise political calculations and well thought out constitutional rules & procedures.
In this particular case, that means the House gets to control the impeachment game in the exact manner that we've seen. Like the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, it's pure politics - which means anything, and I mean anything goes.
The only issue at hand is how well Trump et al play the corresponding tactical reprisal(s). Again, it's pure politics, but the opposition is clever enough to label any action on Trump's part as a more legally defined "obstruction". If they can run the limit of political action while hamstringing Trump, then they gain a net advantage. I would expect Trump to attempt the same tactic, pushing his own political boundaries, while casting the House as violating basic rights.
Probably because Schitt has their phone records as well.
But why is he so brazen? Why doesn't he try to appear to be reasonable? Instead he's rigidly ideological; he's ruthless toward his enemies, autocratic with his confederates and sanctimonious when addressing the public. It's lousy 'optics.'
Maybe he's desperate. Maybe he's anticipating a serious revelation surfacing sometime in the future and he needs a screen and a scapegoat. Anybody?
