Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg is already having an impact in the Democratic primary for the White House just a week after launching his presidential bid, a new survey released Monday reveals.
Bloomberg came out in fifth place, ahead of California Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) in a new Hill-HarrisX national Democratic primary poll.
The survey found that Bloomberg’s support increased from 3 percent to 6 percent among likely Democratic voters and Democratic-leaning independents.

No tough to do, Kamala was at 1% or very low.

Simply amazing. For the current set of Democratic candidates mediocre is a high bar. Kamal Harris is in a death spiral . Bloomberg has a million miles to go. It is even more amazing Biden is where he is!

6% in one poll is not exactly “top of the race”
$40m in a week is pretty impressive. He spent $100m in his last NYC election. At this rate, if he makes it to the general, he’ll have spent $2b. I fully expect him to keep up this pace, and that this was why he spent so much time going back and forth on whether he would run.
A week ago bloomy was not running for pres. He just announced. So of course, the poll numbers are going to go up! It’s name recognition! This, as most other polls, should not be taken very seriously.
RCP poll average has bloomey at 4% nationally: he’s the new shiny Dem object ... 4% is still a second tier nothing-burger, but it’ll be very interesting to see if he can buy his way into the top three ...
