House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is giving members of his committee just 24 hours to read and sign off on his report recommending articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.
As Breitbart News reported Friday, House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler has previewed the report, and suggested it will include claims of “collusion” with Russia — as well as Ukraine, Russia’s enemy.
And as reported Saturday, Schiff will provide the full report to committee members on Monday, who must sign off on Tuesday in time for the first hearing in Nadler’s committee on Wednesday, which will discuss the supposed constitutional and legal basis for impeachment.
It is a foregone conclusion that Democrats will sign off on Schiff’s report. Evidence does not seem to be the top priority for Democrats: a majority favored an impeachment inquiry by August 1, eleven days before the so-called “whistleblower” sent a letter to Schiff complaining about Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.
However, as the Washington Examiner‘s Byron York has noted, Democrats are in such a rush that they are leaving potential facts out of their examination. For example, they could wage a court battle to force former National Security Adviser John Bolton to testify.

The IG can’t indict anyone. I wish I was as hopeful that he refers a bunch of folks for indictment and the DOJ actually follows up, and does something.
Well to be fair they had to pass it so they knew what was in it.
They know every day this goes on it hurts them.
As you say, the hard work of it was done a decade earlier. Putting them on the trains was the easy part.
Since evidence does not matter, I’m guessing that Schiff-for-brains is trying to prevent them from reading it and possibly noticing that the “articles” do not match any known evidence.
I don't see how they can proceed with mere "claims" - all they have is 2nd and 4th hand stories made up by people with an obvious political bias against the President. This kind of BS would not hold up in any court. In fact I'd expect legal council for the plaintiff to be reprimanded (at least verbally) by the judge for bringing such a waste of time to trial.
The fact that they are grasping at straws is obvious since they are floundering around claiming President Trump was working with both sides in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In other words they got (or more likely manufactured) a few things that pointed off in various directions, that's all they have, so they're running with it.
It should now be obvious to even the most casual, disinterested observer that this farce is not really aimed at addressing some crime - it is in fact a political act intended only to garner some perceived political advantage over President Trump in the next election cycle. For that, the democrats are willing to waste taxpayer dollars and set a dangerous precedent. They are all, every single one of them, beneath contempt.
The IG doesn’t indict. Th et make referrals to the DOJ. It will be the DOJ who will be the ones refusing to indict the minimal number of indictments coming from this report.
Uh huh, Thousands of pages and it’d take two days with lawyers present to find out what’s in it.
