As Americans prepared to fill their bellies with Thanksgiving bounty, Castro called for making the issue of hunger a national priority and laid out his plan on how he'd do it if elected president.
In his proposal unveiled Wednesday, Castro calls for making lunch free for public school students, ensuring college students are eligible for food stamp benefits and increasing food stamp benefits for children during summer months.

I also question, these Democrats, that if “hunger” is such a persistent problem, why didn’t their icon, Obama, resolve that problem during his 8 years as president?
Nothing is free. Will hospitals, farms, and schools run without money?
Sure. If you do that, the recipients will demand more and refuse to work, leading them to have less food, and to demand more free food, which will cause them to become lazy and work less, leading them to ..... (repeat until doomsday.)

He didn’t qualify for the most recent Democrat debate. People will forget he is still officially running for president, if he can’t get his name in the news somehow.
Yup - Leftist priority: make everybody hungry(except of course the ruling elite). Make everyone think only the government can feed them. Make them completely dependent on government.
If any of the current crop of "Democrat" candidates win the Presidency, especially with a Congress dominated by the AOC wing, Castro's message may become a reality, just not in the way he is saying it.

Seriously, I have no idea how big a problem hunger is, but I watch a lot of cooking shows where the winners win a donation for their preferred charities, and No Kids Hungry is the one chosen most.
A government that feeds you also can starve you. Just saying.

Anyone who is hungry in this country is because they use their free entitlement for drugs cigarettes booze or other such wastes...the children of these animals should be taken and placed in foster care..the parents sterilized...
