Chick-fil-A denies capitulating to LGBT activists; Christian groups won't be excluded from donations

Amid reports that fast food chain Chick-fil-A was halting donations to Christian groups, the restaurant's foundation is maintaining they are philanthropically restructuring, not caving to political correctness in pursuit of higher profits.

Reports emerged Monday that after months of consistently negative press coverage related to their long-held views about marriage and human sexuality and donations to like-minded organizations, that the famous chicken sandwich shop was discontinuing their financial contributions to groups characterized as "anti-LGBT."

The Christian Post reached out to Chick-fil-A Monday, asking them to respond to the criticisms that they were compromising their principles in order to appease their ideological opponents.

We used to go to Chick-Fil-A every Tuesday after my husband’s sessions at the cancer center. It was nearby and he always wanted to eat there.

Proof of what, that they are not donating to FCA this year? No one is disputing that.

The assumption that many are making is the reasons why. They are jumping to conclusions based on what some journalist says. No one has given me one actual verbatim quote from a CFA executive, by name, who said that they are not giving to any charity because if it’s Anti-LGBT views. And no, “the company said” does not count. Companies don’t talk.

CFA pulled the plug on Salvation Army and other groups, and will NOT be giving to any Christian groups that support traditional marriage.

Sure, the remaining Christian groups are free to BEG, as long as they don't support Christianity.

I cannot speak to FCA since I know nothing about them, I can speak to SA since I'm very familiar with them. Nowhere in their mission statement or any documentation I've ever read about them do they state they're anti-LGBT. SA’s focus is on feeding and sheltering the homeless and spreading God's word.

God's word states that homosexuality is an abomination. If you are a true Christian organization then you are going to be inherently anti homosexual agenda or any other agenda that directly involves sin. You are being obtuse.

I can tell you about the Fellowship of Christian Athletes that previously received money from these frauds but did not in 2019 and presumably will not any more. I mentor a high school senior who is part of FCA. The FCA are on the front lines, in high schools. Christian students and adult mentors who provide an oasis for Christians in the putrid indoctrination camp that schools have become for the LBGQT agenda. Unlike Chik Fil A, they are willing to make a daily stand and put faces on the word of God (just what Chik Fil A used to do.)

Sounds like you are a paid apologist for Chik Fil A and have intentionally shut of any common sense feature from your

Agreed. Christians and real Americans need to boycott Chick Fil A. It was Middle America that made the fast food chain popular. The lines there vs. other fast food chains is evidence. Their food is basically the same as all other convenience restaurants. It is the family friendly, Christian atmosphere that made the chain prosper.

Boycotts work. Ask the NFL and Gillette. And unlike Chick Fil A, they never built their reputation on Christian values.

Chik Fil A obviously felt strongly about what FCA was doing to give that amount of money. FCA are rock solid people worthy of every penny and I can’t help but think that their mission will take a hit from such a financial loss. And as I stated earlier, FCA are on the front lines, in schools that have become the LBGTQ world’s indoctrination camps. CFA cowered to greed. Disgraceful.

Amen to that! They can call it what they please. And if they believe that they have bought them off, stopped them from attacking them at every opportunity, or have made a friend of them, they are only fooling themselves. I think that in the future that they will come to rue the decision they made. But then again, our relationship, such as it was, is severed.
