Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee next month to testify on a forthcoming report on alleged surveillance abuse during the 2016 campaign.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who oversees the panel, announced on Monday that Horowitz will appear publicly on Dec. 11.
Graham’s decision to schedule the hearing is the latest sign that Horowitz’s report is nearing its release. The GOP senator said earlier this month that he expected it within weeks.
“I appreciate all the hard work by Mr. Horowitz and his team regarding the Carter Page FISA warrant application and the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign,” Graham said in a statement.
He added that he expected Horowitz to give a “detailed report” of his findings as well as make “recommendations as to how to make our judicial and investigative systems better.”
“I look forward to hearing from him. He is a good man that has served our nation well,” Graham added.

Why are people then complacent or at least rather well-adjusted about allowing injustice by the Left?
I expect the IG report will be all about process and no names indicated as having committed a crime.
If so that part will be weasel worded to the effect of matters under investigation by Barr/Durham etc or some such intent.
Hopefully Trump/Barr have the real stuff in the redacted version and can release the dogs of war on the Dems after this procedural stuff is now out of the way
Also key will be what Graham does as its obvious he has been waiting for this procedural step to happen first.
I don’t trust Horowitz one bit and my expectations are very low.

Since Graham has done nothing, no hearings, no subpoenas, no witnesses, no nothing, I reasoned he must be a DS operative snake. This, I still believe. However, I always had this secret hope that Graham was holding back until the FISA report was released. Who knows, maybe Graham will do his job.
Graham and the IG are dropping this smack in the middle of the holidays when women in particular will be focused on getting ready for Christmas festivities. Transparently unhelpful to POTUS here.
Well, either there was a predicate for the FISA request, or there wasn’t, simple as that. If there was justification, more than the fake Steele Dossier, we need to know what it is. I believe the Senators know what questions to ask. A lot of investigators on our side will pour through the report with a fine tooth comb. They know what has been missing, and what to look for. Let’s hope they ask the right questions.

How’s Miss Lindsey going to tap dance around the involvement of McCain’s involvement in the dossier? I don’t see how they can separate the dossier from surveillance — but maybe it’s possible.
Graham will soft pedal wherever possible if he has to in order to save McCain’s stellar [s] legacy.
I’m a bit shaky with Linda’s flowery praise of Horowitz BEFORE we see his report. It COULD turn out to be another TURD, like all the rest. IMHO.
And if Linda has some inside info, it might indicate it will be another yawner, and let everybody slide.
This is like arresting someone for robbing a bank, and after the trial, putting out a report on how to make the bank more secure to make future robberies a little more difficult. Thank the currant robber for his input, and have a good day.

Regarding ASAP. My very first day on the job as a Mfg. Engr. my boss told me, when you are getting commitments from vendors, etc. on deliveries, never accept a promise of ASAP. ASAP could mean never. Make them give you a positive date. It’s my observation that gubmint lifers and paper shufflers also LOVE to say ASAP. There is no such date as ASAP.
