Disparaging comments. Demeaning jokes. As the mogul reportedly considers a 2020 presidential run, it remains an open question whether his long-alleged history of undermining women will affect his chances.
If you find yourself seeking, in these turbulent times, evidence of steadiness among the chaosproof that even as the seas rise and the winds whip and the world that was gives way to the world that will be, some things will remain the samehere is a fact that seems always to be true: Mike Bloomberg is considering a run for president.
The newest version of the old truth comes from an article published this week in The New York Times: The billionaire former mayor, the paper announces, validating the rumors, is again considering a presidential runthis time, however, as a Democrat. It would not be an easy candidacy. Mr. Bloomberg, the Times points out, is plainly an uncomfortable match for a progressive coalition passionately animated by concern for economic inequality and the civil rights of women and minorities. Indeed: In an interview with the paper, Bloomberg defends stop-and-frisk. And, voicing doubt about some of the revelations that have been made in the course of #MeToo, Bloomberg mentions as an example Charlie Rose, who had broadcast his show from a space in Bloombergs corporate offices. He declined to say, specifically, whether he believed the many allegations against Rose. Let the court system decide, the former mayor said.
What is not fully addressed in the Times article, howeverand what is not fully explored in the many similar pieces that consider the current iteration of Mike Bloombergs presidential ambitionsis a series of stories about him, accumulated over decades, that suggests in the aggregate a distinct pattern when it comes to his treatment of women:

i do not think i would ever be tempted to date her, for reasons that have nothing to do with her looks or her income...
Bloomberg “alpha male?”
He’s a sniveling little pipsqueak with a Napolean complex. A butt pirate mommas boy. He had the little violin in the shiny leather case and waited for his mom to pick him up after school - or I mistake him for some other dweeb from my childhood. He would have had to shine my shoes to get on the bus with my crew of “alpha males.”
“Bloomberg seems like an ultimate alpha male.”
Only in NYC/Kukistan; outside of that area he is a girl.
Sad that such disgusting comments were not considered bad by men 20 years ago.
Wow, that actually hurt my ears to read.

I do not believe that offending women should be a criminal offense.
Guys talk like that today. Just mostly not around women.
He would have had to shine my shoes to get on the bus with my crew of alpha males.
I’d seen her close up on several occasions in the past few decades and I conclude that this photo has been drastically altered to improve her appearance.
A commenter on this reddit thread seemed to know her name upon seeing the same photo and commented:
Maxwell pal, Tamara Mellon, Brit, OBE, co-founder of Jimmy Choo shoes and former/current sidepiece of ex-Disney President Michael Ovitz, who's still married to his wife. Rehab alumna.
Her wiki page:
Tamara Mellon, OBE (née Tamara Yeardye; born 7 July 1967) is a British fashion entrepreneur who was the co-founder of luxury footwear brand Jimmy Choo, and then the eponymous luxury footwear brand Tamara Mellon.
....
She is the daughter of Tom Yeardye, a stunt double for Rock Hudson, and Ann (Davis) Yeardye, a former Chanel model.
Ah, so Tamera is a child of two well connected, very good looking people. I can believe that.
She is English, so no kin to the Mellon Families of Pittsburgh, USA. They are worth over $12 Billion.
Her current surname stems from the time when she was married to Matthew Mellon, an American businessman and member of the prominent Mellon family.
So she was in that family by marriage for a while at least.
It’s culture rather than era. That talk is still very common among those who weren’t raised to respect women. It’s just sotto voce now. My Southern parents would have disowned me if I acted like that.
An Alpha male would not weasel on his understanding of the phrase, "I'd do her."
A true Alpha male would do one of two things:
1. Make a sincere apology if he regretted saying it.
2. If he didn't regret saying it, double down and add, "And she'd spend the rest of her life trying to relive the experience."
She hangs on to that well known surname, just as Arianna Huffington, and Stella McCartney have done.
Quote #2 sounds like something Mr. Trump would say. Lol!
more, much more than that (ahem), in the article her new company’s CEO is apparently a feminist of the “woke” variety, quietly supporting woke feminist causes such as the public campaign against the nomination of brett kavanaugh to the USSC. By association, therefore, it can be inferred that Tamera is also a “woke” feminist.
That is, a woke feminist who apparently plays both sides, allowing herself to be seen in public with alpha (slut) male bloomberg.
IMHO this illustrates rather clearly the dualistic nature of the love-hate fascination that normally dominant attractive females have for alpha (slut) males. Feminists hate male dominance, but most feminists (allegedly) are infatuated with the so-called Islam “religion.” Etc.
Perhaps someone can resolve this apparent internal contradiction in logic (because I cannot).
I doubt that even an alpha male would double down against the advice of expert defense attorneys laboring under the prospect of an adverse civil trial decision. (Standard legal disclaimer applies.)
Honestly, while I heard guys talk like that 20 years ago, I have not heard anything like that lately. It really is disgusting. But back a while, men could get clinical and gross in their discussions of women as f objects only.
I didnt hear the misogyny in it when I was young because I did think men talk like that but thank goodness the next generations dont have that animosity and objectifying in their tones when they talk about what they have done or wish they could do. It really has changed at least in the middle class non hood milieu.
There is a difference between typical locker room banter and talking about all women as if they exist as your sex slaves only. If you cant hear the difference, you might need to check your own attitude. Every woman you have sex with at least deserves you to consider her as human as you.
