What happened to President Obama’s majority?
The surface-level answer to this question is simple. Donald Trump won over a supermajority of white working-class voters while holding on to many traditional Republicans, allowing him to win the Electoral College. At the same time, down-ballot Republicans built on their solid showings in 2010 and 2014, which helped them retain control of Congress and significant power in the states.

No John Edwards was a big phony who was a slick personal injury lawyer with a nice hairdo like Gavin Newsome. He had no principles and was another womanizer in the vein of Bill Clinton.

Also Edwards was a punk ass commie (ACU rating 10%) in a folksy shell. Basically a young Biden, minus all the actual semi-moderate votes Biden cast back in the day. Or if you will, he was Bill Clinton without a Hillary.
Geez, that guy (Edwards) was such scum that even most of the Dems threw him under the bus... eventually. And it takes a LOT to get them to do that.
The dems know that all of their potential candidates are losers. They are desperately seeking someone that can give Trump a run for their money. There are a couple that are not in the game currently. But I bet they could not stand the scrutiny.

He wasn’t a moderate. He was hard-left. The party wouldn’t tolerate anyone who wasn’t a far-leftist in 2004. I remember a headline showing Lurch-Breck Girl ticket was “to the left of Ted Kennedy.”

Even Kerry knew something was wrong with Edwards (in the head). There was some story that Edwards had gone around telling that had to do with something deeply personal and would preface it by saying, “I haven’t told anyone this, BUT...” Kerry was initially touched by Edwards when he shared the story, until he found out Edwards had been doing that same schtick with a lot of others.

Obama was black and could look good while reading a speech. He was deemed to be an orator but was in fact a skilled oral reader. Many democrats did their duty and voted for a black president to avoid looking bad. They know what they got and will not repeat that mistake.
The truly ironic fact is that there appears to be evidence that black men are escaping the plantation in adequate numbers to eliminate the black majority as an electoral factor.
Biden is an old white man. He is not black. He is not black. Biden is not inheriting the black Obama legacy
