What happened to President Obama’s majority?
The surface-level answer to this question is simple. Donald Trump won over a supermajority of white working-class voters while holding on to many traditional Republicans, allowing him to win the Electoral College. At the same time, down-ballot Republicans built on their solid showings in 2010 and 2014, which helped them retain control of Congress and significant power in the states.

I was thinking this morning, if he did not behave irresponsibly, he would have been Obama’s VP in 2008.
Biden would have been SecofState, Hillary defense secretary.
A VP Edwards would have been younger than Biden and probably give Trump a competitive election.
Edwards would have done well in the South.
A Edwards-type candidate cannot win today.

Democrats have no interest in the center.
I want to know how we stop the erosion of GOP performance among college-educated voters. Maybe the coming implosion of our current university model will help. Bringing back the importance of skilled tradesmen could help also.
The democrats would need generations of ethical leaders to even come near coming back to power. Trump on the other hand will bring the country back and save the whole country in less than a decade.
