This explains why Trump didn't inform Dems before the raid.
Journalists have no respect for the “loose lips” truism! It gets in the way of their respect circle!
Thank You!
that’s why Tecumseh Sherman wanted ALL journalists DEAD because they kept reporting their movements to the South...yes, he said he wanted them dead.
Figures..why is the left SO upset about the killing of Baghdadi, because the info didnt get leaked to them so they could find a way to ruin it..the left HATES this President and even more, hate this country..so if they can find a way to sabotage anything they will do it
I watched the DoD press briefing this morning. The (de)Press ask questions, that if answered, would have put our special operators and their families at severe risk.
Unlike former VP Biden on the UBL take down, no “it was Seal Team __” was revealed.
There no reason to inform Congress ahead of time. We had people killed in Yemen because of Democrat Congress critters running their mouths.
The only legal obligation, questionably, is the War Power Act which requires Congress to be notified within 48 hours of operations commencing.
That is probably not even necessary since Congress rubber stamped Obama’s war in Syria. President Trump is merely acting under their existing “authorization for use of military force”
Yet Trump is slammed for not telling Dem’s beforehand? They leak like a leaking dam.

While this Administrations approach to foreign crises mostly differs from that of its predecessor, there is at least one conspicuous exception, a heavy reliance on Special Operations Forces. Their commander explains the role SOCOM and SOF perennially play in responding to flash points around the globe and building partner-nation capacity to provide for their own defense.

Raymond Tony Thomas, Commander, US Special Operations Command
Moderator: Catherine Herridge, Chief Intelligence Correspondent, Fox News
If they can't be trusted with their own information,
why would we entrust the Dumbocrats with national securiy issues?
Remember the Awan brothers, and how they are embedded within the Dumbocrats committies ?
One of my favorite quotes:
“I hate newspapermen. They come into camp and pick up their camp rumors and print them as facts. I regard them as little more than spies, which, in truth, they are. If I had my choice I would kill every reporter in the world, but I am sure we would be getting press dispatches from Hell before breakfast.” William Tecumseh Sherman
There is absolutely no reason nor need for Congress to know of any Special Operations action or actually any conventional operation until after it occurs...
Yes, those were the exact words. Ever read his biography? His Union soldiers upon the March to the Sea would stick their guns to the heads of reporters on the roadside and take away their gear LOL
Your larger point is well taken, although “liberal” as we understand it today did not exist in the 1770’s.
Why is this VANITY?
If that Sherman guy had any hopes of landing an expert consultant gig at CNN he can faggedaboutit.
How about, he didn't inform Members of Congress before the raid because they have no operational responsibility and their oversight obligation can be satisfied with an after-action report?
Why make this into a "Trump hits back" issue when NO President should be disclosing operational details to Congress, ever?
Because its not yet a news story and Ive been previously banned for posting stories like this.
Once Jim Holt, Hannity, Red State, etc. take it and repost it, its then a real news story that can be posted to this forum.
