White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney announced during a White House press briefing that the 2020 G7 summit will be held at Trump National in Doral, Florida, from June 10-12.
"We used the same set of criteria that previous administrations have used," Mulvaney said.
He said Doral was "far and away the best physical facility for this meeting."
President Donald Trump is sure to receive criticism and will face questions about whether he stands to profit financially from the large summit. Trump has received such criticism in the past for hosting foreign leaders, including China's President Xi Jinping, at his Mar-a-Lago golf club in Florida.

And I asked you how it would cost more.
I seriously doubt Trump would do anything other than the above options because he’s smart enough to know to avoid the appearance of any quid-pro-quo.
Except that 1) Trump has not held meetings there so we have no idea what costs are as opposed to what will be billed, and 2) Trump has not divested himself of his holdings and has not put anything in trust. I agree that there is probably nothing illegal about holding it at the Doral. But the Democratic campaign commercials will write themselves.
They just recently pulled that crap when some air force flight crews stayed in Scotland or Ireland and he saved the air force about $100 bucks per person per night compared to out in town to put them up at his golf course there.
How much would it have cost to have them land and stay at one of the several Air Force bases in the U.K?
Your not going to sway any voters, Trump supporters or Trump haters, over this.
Certainly not Trump supporters or Trump haters. Supporters are going to support and haters are going to hate no matter where the summit is held. But what about those not currently in either camp?
Good! I missed that.
Surely, in spite of that the cowardly DemoRats will spin it to make it seem like Trump is benefiting hugely.
And I asked how it would cost less. That's the claim being made.
I am not sure why we are spending this much time debating this. Who am I to advise POTUS where he is to host his meetings? And he has held meetings there numerous times, just maybe not the “high-viz” G7. Even on things I have initial cautions about, so far Trumps judgement has served him well.
Regarding the Air Force overnight, it would have cost a few hundred thousand to fly to a different place from where they were on that mission. But again, we are going down in the weeds.
Trolls don’t answer questions
Because he didn’t get the answer yet from DUmmie land
If anyone wants to stay for an extra day, they can be there for our President’s birthday party.
Would you care to tell us in what camp you are?
I asked you how it would cost more.
I know the answer to that one!!!
I'd like to see Trump win in 2020. Giving the Democrats ammunition to use against him isn't going to make that easy.
Since when has anyone in government ever cared about costs. President Trump is a lot of good things be he hasnt shown himself to be thrifty.
Damn there goes my foursome at Doral.
LOL! Do you now?
Mar-a-Lago has a golf course?
The golf club is Doral you nitwits at Fredo News Network. Which is pretty damn close by MIA.
If it is your idea to make changes in the way President Trump conducts himself and the business of the country, I can tell you, as someone who did not vote for him in 2016, THAT YOU ARE WRONG.
Trump is not Bush, Nixon, JFK, Abraham Lincoln or ANYONE ELSE. As the book says, “Let Trump Be Trump.” He is a winner.
Now, you on the other hand, do not seem to support his behavior, which, I think is a mistake.
Exactly, if Trump wants to use his office to further line his pockets who are we useless proles to object to that. He’s the king, after all.
Meanwhile in a speak-easy dive somewhere, Jim Acosta is crying into his diary.
