Televangelist Pat Robertson has joined the chorus of conservative critics lambasting President Donald Trumps decision to pull U.S. forces out of Northern Syria endangering Americas Kurdish allies.
Trump was slammed by many of his usual defenders on Monday after the White House announced the U.S. will allow for a Turkish military operation in the war-torn region. Trump argued in a statement that Turkey will assume responsibility for all ISIS fighters captured in the region, many of whom were detained by Kurdish forces allied with America. The Turkish government views these Kurdish militias as terrorists despite the U.S. supporting them in the fight against ISIS.
Trump shot back at his critics on Twitter by defending his position while promising that if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey.
Robertson said he was absolutely appalled by the announcement, warning that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a thug and a dictator.

It’s not about evangelists and muslims......it’s about understanding the unseen war between light and darkness playing out here on earth as well. Islam is a death cult..and by deception blinds their followers hearts and minds.
If God is going to use the Kurds a/k/a Medes to gain power for His purposes, He can make it happen without our troops.
Trust Him.
Never cared to listen to Robertson....few times I did he went off into left field. He’s actually rather nutty.
Shut the f*ck up Robertson you old f*rt.
Trump is a divine being whose very presence in the WH shows he has been personally blessed by God
I doubt many voters give a rat’s behind about what’s going on in Syria.
Pat Robertson says the Lord told him to run for president. Yeah, I bet He did. He wants to make him look like a complete ass in the political arena. [Sam Kinison]
The Kurds have some pretty bad factions. Many don’t know that the Kurds are muslims of the Sunni variety. They have their share of fanatics. The PKK is a terror group which has called for the elimination of Israel.
The president is pretty smart about these things. Don’t trust the news for anything except birthday announcements.
You really believe that? Given the wording I took it as a colossal troll of his critics and not any sort of promise.
There are about 1000 troops in Syria, supporting about 60,000 Kurds and Syrians who have been doing the actual fighting with some help from U.S. artillery and air strikes. We're pulling all our support out and leaving the Kurds and Syrians to fend for themselves, and the Turks will be there soon to mop them up. So who wins out the most in the end is up in the air.
*** Sounds like another of those evangelicals who see the middle east only through the lens of end times prophecy.***
There is certainly no shortage of them.

Robertson is clearly wrong about this (see my comments above), but he is usually on the right side of Freeper views. Flame me if you want, but the vicious, atheistic personal attacks in this thread are uncalled for.
There is no right side of prophesy. If it has been prophesied, then whatever choices Trump makes will work toward the fulfillment of that prophecy.
Do you think Trump has the power to change the future that God has ordained?
Prov 21:1. The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
The irony is that if Obama or any other Dem president announced this withdrawal, the media would praise them to the hilt. Since it’s Trump...
Amen to your scripture reference...says it all!

That’s sad. Syria is a text book for US Foreign Policy, Western Propaganda to demonize, or sanctify governments, steal natural resources, sanction, false flag, and convince the public to support war for Corporate interests, and supposed allies. Tie it all up with a big bloody bow, and there you have it.
One of the reasons I supported Trump was his promise to get out of Syria, and regime change wars. Still waiting. BTW, soldiers from Fort Hood just deployed to Syria. Will they come back now?
Jesus stated to his followers.....”Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division.” Luke 14:51
And again....”Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34
Those are facts people need to remember....which though I support their desires for their own country it is up to them to negotiatie with the surrounding countries....unfortunately the tribal elements in the middle east will likely always be at war.
Is Trump leaving any advisers behind? Are we prevented from arming the Kurds at all?
The SDF has been armed and trained to fight some tough bastards. By US Special Forces.
And they already have the finest small and medium arms in the world thanks to US supply.
I hope that if we leave any advisory forces behind they are embedded with the Syrian Army and the Russians.
But I would rather we bring everyone home and let the environment achieve its own equilibrium.
Supporting IS and Turkey in Syria is one of the darkest marks in US history. I have nothing but disdain for those who perpetrated it.
