CNN contributor Van Jones told Democrats the President Trump impeachment issue was a no-win situation.
"It’s a tricky thing, the impeachment process, because for some Republicans, it makes them want to rally around the flag," Jones said Thursday on CNN.
"When I was anti-Bill Clinton from the Left in the '90s, and then they tried to impeach him, suddenly Clinton was my best friend. I was like, 'Leave Bill Clinton alone.' So, I think you get crosscurrents in this thing, and at the same time, the Democrats are in a lose-lose situation," he said.
Jones, 51, also warned that Democrats risked disappointing their base if they did not pursue impeaching Trump.
"If they don’t do something, their own base is going to feel disappointed and feel like maybe Trump gets away too much," he said. Jones concluded that the whole issue was "a big mess."
The CNN contributor was a special adviser to President Obama. In March, Jones told Democrats they should not pretend the Mueller investigation was a magic wand "that's going to fix everything."

The inveterate commie does get it right now and then, and when Van Jones is the voice of sanity on the Left you know they’ve got problems. It’s slightly worse than he’s saying, though - not only do the Dems manage to promote Trump by continuing this shrieking charade (witness the sudden influx of contributions as evidence) but they manage to make themselves look hateful, extremist, insane...and lazy. Because not only do they not disappoint their base by pursuing a chimeric impeachment, they disappoint them by not pushing their programs. Where would we be politically had they focused this passion and determination on, say, Medicare for All? Student Loan Amnesty? Their absence has placed Trump in the driver’s seat on their own issues. Jones is saying that’s poor politics and he’s right.

By pushing impeachment over Ukraine they ensure Biden’s demise, almost guaranteeing warren of someone like her thr nomination and turn up their opponents suppprt to defcon 5 ensuring their nominee gets slaughtered.

indeed. the media helped elect trump in 2016 by attacking him relentlessly, and the media has quadrupled down since then, so i expect Trump’s victory margin to be even bigger in 2020 ... an if Trump wins the House, it won’t matter at all what the media says about him anymore as he transforms our country beyond anything any of us here can imagine ...

Van Jones is no dummy. In fact, he is a leading Marxist strategist in all of what the Dems/Soros ops people are doing to destroy democracy in America.

Well, it looks like the requirements were CHANGED to accomodate this particular person's second or third hand account as this CIA8 agent was not a first hand witness.
The big problem lies with the anti trumper in congress...I hope RNC is planning on new reps for every state and any possible retirees that may crop up in the next twelve months.
