Dow loses nearly 500 points on fears that US economy is weakening

Stocks got slammed for the second day in a row on Wednesday after weak payroll numbers stoked fears that President Trump’s trade wars were slowing down the US economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by nearly 600 points, to a low of 25,974.12, after data from ADP showed that private US employers had hired fewer workers than expected. The Dow ended the day down 494.42 points, or 1.9 percent, to 26,078.62.

The report, a precursor to the Labor Department’s more comprehensive jobs report due Friday, followed dismal numbers on US manufacturing Tuesday that showed activity was at its lowest level in more than a decade.

Investors are worried that the long-simmering trade war between the US and China is starting to hit business investment and could lead to a paring of hiring — and even layoffs, according to analysts.

All of this impeachment nonsense, which is going nowhere, is driving the Stock Market, and your 401K’s, down. But that is exactly what the Democrats want to do. They are willing to hurt the Country, with only the 2020 Election in mind!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 2, 2019

Bullschit..
It went down because TESLA is sinking, and the EU tariffs start Oct 18.

The GM strike is affecting US GDP. I have no doubt, no doubt at all, that the Dems would steal money from the pockets of GM workers to harm Trump Econ numbers, by prolonging a needless strike.
The ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS...

I heard analysis this was due to an inept marketing department failing to attract new customers.

Well DUH...economy works in cycle, and no one can outlaw those cycle. Only thing the FED and dept of Commerce can do is prolong the cycles. When they do that, like a stretched spring, it shrinks more violently.

The FED has kept ARTIFICIALLY LOW interest rates right after 911, and have created a monster bubble in stocks, bonds & housing. It is getting ready to deflate and it will be with a bigger bang than usual. My guess is they will hold up the house of cards until election in 2020.

Soros and the Dems look silly in tiny New Year’s Eve hats and using little horns as they jump up and down to celebrate.
“One word from my people and everybody sells at the same hour.”-Soros.

To all the Dems top is their egos, power and hatred of President Trump, then way down on the list comes “the good of the American people.” Under get better seats for Broadway shows.

A gauge of U.S. manufacturing showed the lowest reading in more than 10 years in September as exports dived amid the escalated trade war.

We have a 1940 Allis-Chalmers tractor; if you take care of your equipment, you don’t need to buy new! ;)

At my old farm, they guys were planting, but then rain put an end to that. I’m sure they felt that the equipment was safe where it was, but once they packed it in, of course I HAD to climb inside and see what it was like!

OMG! You need three degrees, MINIMUM to run one of those things. And it’s Air Conditioned! And it’s ALL GPS this and that! And it had a TV set in there! I mean, I could’ve set up shop and lived out of the thing if it had a bathroom, LOL!

(Don’t give them any ideas!)

Stocks crashed because of the fear that Lizzy Warren may get the Dem nomination, which would severely damage business in the USA. Tech stocks were hit hardest because she threatens to break them up. It would serve the Democrat CEOs of Facebook, Google, Twitter and Amazon right.
