We had ribs, potato salad and cole slaw for dinner. Humblegunner grilled the ribs and they were fantastic! Wneighbor brought 4 yummy pies for dessert....and the sides. Thanks y'all!

I apologize to everyone for being a dickhead all weekend.
I really think it was a result of getting flooded last week
and leaving so many things undone.

The place is still a wreck.

Lawnmower loaded and going to the shop tomorrow,
you can see the waterline just shy of the headlights.

So... sorry. I'm flooded and mad about it.

Second night at Cherokee Village on Lake Whitney. If it seems like we spend a lot of time hanging out at the Pavilion and eating...it's because we do! Plus it was too hot to do anything that resembled moving too fast. Here are a few pics from our 2nd night:

Good time taken to a new level with the addition of "NYTexan's" margaritas...now made by Penelopesire..., and telling stories after dinner with Randy, TheMom, Scott [the owner of Cherokee and a great guy!], Wneighbor and Penelopesire.

Third Night At The Pavilion. Yet again chowing down on the most delicious food. This time it was grilled burgers by the King of the Grill, with Penelopesire's magical potato salad and cakes provided by laurenmarlowe. We had a total blast at the shoot that morning, which will be memorialized by others posting here. I admit to falling down on the job of posting pictures of the range, because frankly it was too hot to get out in the scorching sun to take them. LOL!

Must mention, though, that Publius enjoyed firing El Gato's .45 and proving his range officer wrong from when he was in the army by nailing "Osama" in several vital organs. :)


And the King of the Grill said "Let there be fire". And lo, it was as commanded. And burgers were thusly sacrificed and turned into deliciousness for all to consume.


The Gang waits "patiently" for the burgers to be presented and meantime has more fun telling stories, jokes and just jawin'. Mylife and MsBehavin....your stories and your presencee were greatly missed. As were all the others who couldn't make it this year.

And we EVEN had live entertainment throughout the weekend from "Gunner" the multitasker and Brian. So chill.
