Wall Street Dem Donors Warn The Party: We’ll Sit Out, or Back Trump, if you Nominate Warren

Democratic donors on Wall Street and in big business are preparing to sit out the presidential campaign fundraising cycle — or even back President Donald Trump — if Sen. Elizabeth Warren wins the party’s nomination.

In recent weeks, CNBC spoke to several high-dollar Democratic donors and fundraisers in the business community and found that this opinion was becoming widely shared as Warren, an outspoken critic of big banks and corporations, gains momentum against Joe Biden in the 2020 race.

“You’re in a box because you’re a Democrat and you’re thinking, ‘I want to help the party, but she’s going to hurt me, so I’m going to help President Trump,’” said a senior private equity executive, who spoke on condition of anonymity in fear of retribution by party leaders.

I had that thought. But then I remember how the Democrats demonized him in 2012. Their bat$#*+ crazy base wouldn’t stand for it.

“Harris is the most formidable Dem for Trump to face.”

For reasons I’ve posted before, IMO Harris generates quite the serious revulsion across multiple segments of the electorate...indeed, she possesses many of the obnoxious personalities quirks that Trump does, but I think she MEANS it. This woman wants power, bad, and it’s IMO quite visible that she would do whatever she felt necessary to seize it. And laugh in your face. She’s similar to the Gavin Newsome “whether you like it or not” camp. There are few predictions I am confident of, but I think she is a major turnoff and would lose and lose big to Trump.

How many years has it taken for Wall Street to figure out what the party they support really stands for?

“Look for Tom Steyer to jump in the race.”

He’s already in and has qualified for the next debate.

I actually take this report with a grain of salt.

Backing the policies they have, I can’t imagine them sitting out or backing Trump.

I’d like to think the would, but if they could stomach Obama, I doubt the squaw will bother them much.

Harris is not a natural born citizen (her mother is Indian and her father is Jamaican; neither were citizens at the time of Harris’ birth). If she wins the nomination, expect Trump to challenge her qualifications in every state where she is on the ballot.

Wall Street might want Hillary. Afterall she’s more than willing to open up to corrupt deals ... as long as her dupes donate to the Clinton Slush Fund... oops I mean ‘Clinton Foundation’...

But...

What Wall Street ‘elites’ don’t get is that the American people don’t like Hillary. Her biggest claim to fame was getting married to a man with great political instincts. She’s been disbarred and her ‘deplorable’ comment will never be forgotten.

Hillary also doesn’t have hubby’s strong points - but she’s got hubby’s cheesy moneygrubbing tendencies. Wall Street’s NOT gonna like defending that... So if Wall Street wants someone different they need to put up someone different... Hillary’s NOT a winner. She’s a loser - in so many ways...

Warren’t people need to get busy with the private, confidential, “just between you and me” reassurances that there will be exceptions for Special People. And oh by the way, there’s an ambassador’s slot in it for them, too. That’s how the game is played in the halls of power and they all know it.

Wall Street-types are getting caught in a pincer movement here.

Both anti-Globalists and Socialists equally loathe them.

The bigger problem with Warren is that she has even less appeal to black voters than Hillary did.

That's a big, big problem. Democrats counted on all their identities to stand in line and wait their turn while voting for each other. That isn't happening.
