Sting Sex Trafficking at the Source... Its Buyers
Family Research Council ^ | September 23, 2019 | Patrina Mosley

Posted on 09/23/2019 7:40:24 PM PDT by Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Authorities have arrested more than 100 people in a massive child sex trafficking sting in central Ohio. Yes, you heard correctly: 100 people, in the state of Ohio, for child sex trafficking. The Homeland Security special agent in charge of the investigation warned, "We are just scratching the surface... it's that way across the country."

Human trafficking, particularly for sex, is a global enterprise -- and the United States is, unfortunately, the leader in driving demand. Because human trafficking is no small business, this Ohio sting operation involved more than 30 law enforcement agencies.

As reported by The Columbus Dispatch, "[a] report commissioned for the city of Columbus last year found that the National Human Trafficking Resource Center in 2015 received 1,066 trafficking calls from Ohio, the fourth-highest volume in the country. Central Ohio rescue groups have served more than 700 human-trafficking victims since 2008; girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are at the highest risk."

The child sex-trafficking ring outed by this particular sting was not operated on the streets or in dark alleys as one might expect but on the internet. The perpetrators defied stereotypes as well. Among the arrested suspects were an emergency room doctor and a church youth director! Traffickers and predators can be anyone.

In his remarks relating to the sting, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (R) acknowledged the "real dangers on the internet for children." He continued, "[c]riminals involved in trafficking other human beings prey upon those individuals that are already at risk, subjecting them to prostitution and addiction. . .. Predators who seek to harm our children and grandchildren are not hiding in the bushes, they're lurking on the internet."

Yeah that’s fast too but it’s scarier than firing squad

Really? The United States is the leader. Really? WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Shocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I realize it’s a problem everywhere, that’s a pretty bold statement. And I used to work Vice and a Child Exploitation unit that dealt with sex crimes on minors.

I’m thinking the people from the family research council should take a trip to Dubai, Thailand-Bangkok-Pattaya, Phillipines, Pakistan-infamous for activities with kids. If I’m not mistaken, India is kind of up there as well.

Interestingly, I do not see the US on this list....

Remember not too long ago when Resident 0’s Secret Service was caught in prostitution.. I do.

No doubt 0 got some bang for his buck as well . . .

0bama likes cocaine, unconventional sex, and hookers. I’d be amazed of they ever go after those pushed to the top to tend to the destruction of the United States.

In my opinion what is needed is a cultural change. Putting the death penalty will only make these perps kill their victims.

It needs to be that they wouldn’t even THINK of it.

I would bet a WHOLE LOT of money that in the apple pie 1950’s, a YUGE number of molestation of daughters was going on but never reported.

And some child sex trafficking.

People are looking for an impossibility.

ANY state or country with 100 percent good humans.

325 million people in the country.

If one percent of them are bad guys, there’s 3 million plus bad people around to do all sorts of bad things.

And I got a feeling it’s more than 1 percent and always has been.

We do not have a culture of child rape..yet.

The left hasn’t gotten that far with the mainstream folks yet on that one.

It’s just BAD humans doing BAD things like they’ve ALWAYS done before.

100 arrested?

How do 100 people deceive themselves into thinking that a child sex ring can be kept secret?

The first person who gets arrested, for this crime or any other serious crime, is going to eagerly testify against the other 99 in exchange for immunity.

What I'm basing it on is life in Japan and Singapore - people just don't think of stealing or anything. This isn't "innate" as they did have stealing etc. culture a few decades or a century ago, but it changed.

People's cultural perceptions CAN change to where this would be unthinkable.

When a clear deterrent is established like hanging, firing squad immediately after caught will stem the tide, but we have lost our balls to the social justice pc diversity hordes

Just a thought. If an adult male 18 years old, solicits sex from a 21-year-old prostitute, it used to be prostitution and both would be arrested if caught, now it’s sex trafficking - the man gets arrested and the woman gets counseling, a place in a shelter and food stamps, but if that same 18-year-old male solicits sex from a 17-year-old prostitute, it’s not only sex trafficking, now it’s child sex trafficking and he is forever branded as a pedophile. Same situation when an 18-year-old high school student gets a boob pic from his 17-year-old girlfriend – he’s now guilty of child porn as is sometimes also the girl who took and sent it, both are often branded as sex offenders and kiddie porn purveyors for life.

OTOH, hand if an 18-year-old man goes to the Bunny Ranch in NV, it’s perfectly legal, not necessarily right mind you, but legal. An adult male can also go to any of the so called “Gentlemen’s Clubs” (they used to call themselves strip clubs but I guess calling their patrons “gentlemen” gives it a veneer of respectability) and get a “lap dance” that is nothing less than a “dry hump” and it’s legal.

And if you own the New England Patriots….. jeeze IIRC, some people here tried to defend it as a nothing burger.

Don’t misunderstand that I am in anyway defending prostitution or sex trafficking - it’s a nasty soul crushing enterprise with the women, teenagers being the most vulnerable – runaways sometimes escaping physical and or sexual abuse at home and or with existing drug addictions being exploited, given false promises of a “better” life, promises of lots of money and all the drugs they want and being taken care of, or illegals, especially from China who thought they were coming here for a real job but end up in a “massage parlor” that is nothing more than a bordello where they are pretty much kept as prisoners. And of course child sex abuse, child prostitution and porn involving actual children is a very real problem but calling this a “a massive child sex trafficking sting” is not entirely accurate.

I have bouts of insomnia and sometimes am wide awake in the wee hours and find myself turning on the TV and channel surfing. Between 3 and 5 am you see a lot of sketchy stuff on cable, infomercials, televangelists, and other outright scams, but also commercials for phone sex and sex toys.

But one commercial really stands out. It is for a website called “We Are 18”. The commercial starts out with very young looking women in skimpy bikinis frolicking in a pool and the voice over saying something like “when my parents are out of town, I invite my friends over and things can get kind of wet and crazy”. The girl goes on to say “we are 18” but “wink-wink”, the inference is they are hot horney girls pretending to be 18 but are likely younger as they are still living at home with their parents but when their parents aren’t home….

This airs every day on cable TV.

A child sex ring can be kept secret.
But not if the pedophiles use the internet.

Re: A child sex ring can be kept secret.

But, somehow, you know.

That’s not the way I define a “secret.”

West Hollywood if they need to narrow down their investigation.

The United Nations workers are engaged actively in child sex trafficking.

Somehow I doubt that is in the US.

A Chinese Marxist studying in America remarked that the most surprising thing he discovered here was that Americans were honest in activities because they had religion, not because of fears that police and investigators would catch them.

I don’t understand why prostitution is illegal for adults. It’s 2 adults making a business deal - in my opinion.

Now once a minor is involved - that’s a whole different situation.
