The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation is reporting another ship has been seized in the gulf. Correspondent Amochai Stein said on Twitter: Iran has seized another oil vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Revolutionary Guard arrests a vessel and 11 crew on 'diesel smuggling charges'."
It was the Palestinians
I’ve said that a couple of times, usually when folks are in the throws of conspiracy theorizing, which is happening on associated threads.
I happen to be Jewish by profession and previously by practice. And, I’m a firm supporter of Israel. And, I believe that the Mossad are quite effective.
But Israel did not attack Saudi oil installations as intimated by FReepers elsewhere. So, the joke.
Since we are inevitably going to find out in ten years that whatever we are told today will be wrong why dont we just bomb the shit out of some country that we already know has nothing to do with it. I nominate Luxembourg. They havent been bombed in a while.
Might I suggest Canada that way we can mitigate our carbon footprint at the same time.....
Panama’s tanker, or a tanker registered in Panama? Seems like Liberia was once the place that everyone registered their ships.
Gen.Blather notes that Approximately ninety percent of Irans export capability is concentrated on Kharg island which isnt even reachable by a bridge. A few cruise missiles or a single sortie could beggar Iran.
LOL. If we killed everybody in Canada and took their country I would bet Greenland would just roll over!
Glad to hear it. Thought it may be time for your meds.
I wonder what the EU and China will do about it. Oil flowing through the Gulf is primarily headed there. You can bet this particular tanker was not headed to China, however.
Good idea.
I never forgave them for the hostage crisis when they wrapped wet garbage in the American flag to take outside to the trash. As well as endangering and kidnapping all the hostages, of course.
For youngest FReepers: Fifty-two American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979, to January 20, 1981. As President Regan was sworn in, the hostages were let go.
tagline...
It’s time to revisit the origins of the United States Marine Corps. Whether on the Shores of Tripoli or the shores of Hormuz, piracy should be met with overwhelming and permanently decisive force.
I spent almost 4 years living a couple blocks from the Panama Canal. My impression at the time was most of the worlds shipping is registered to Panama and Liberia. Which is sort of fraud when you think about it.
I also believe that piracy involving ships registered in countries other than the U.S. ... and owned by companies that arent American ... and carrying cargo between two countries that are not the U.S. ... should not be the concern of the U.S.
They need to be blockaded
Iran is doing its damnedest to start a war.
They want The Saudis dead and control of Mecca most of all....................
Well, I think they had the loosest standards. Seems like every Japanese freighter that came into Coos Bay in the ‘70’s was registered in Panama.
I think its a tax dodge. Which is why I say it really is fraud.
Maritime law. Because international law isn’t crazy enough.
