I Lost an Old Friend Because of My Support For Trump

I had a dear friend who was a colleague in the school we both taught in. We used to have lunch together every day for a decade, an island of peace and camaraderie during the day. Sometimes we'd even meet for dinner if his wife had an evening professional meeting. Then, the 2008 elections came around, with a very low quality candidate named Barack Obama on the ballot. My friend, a knee jerk liberal, was ecstatic over the fact that this was the first black presidential candidate ever. Of course he voted for him. I saw this fake for what he was immediately. That fact that the Democratic Party had chosen such a piece of garbage as their candidate was the final straw, and I left the party of my father. I, and a number of other conservative friends were subsequently bombarded with pro-Obama emails from my friend. I refuted every single one of his sales points. Finally, tired of having to waste my time stating the obvious, I asked my friend to please stop sending me those emails. He was deeply insulted. This brought the end to a beautiful over-10-year friendship. Chalk it up to yet another Obama casualty, may he drop dead at the earliest convenience.

When my friend died suddenly a few years later (had a major heart attack in his cardiologist's office and dropped dead to the floor), a mutual friend from school notified me so that I could attend the funeral. I cried at his grave not only for his death, but for the years of friendship we missed out on, thanks to the lies of B.O.

If I had "friends" who decided to cut me off because of my support for Trump, I would realize they were not true friends to begin with but only acquaintances who went along for the ride with me for awhile and decided to get off the bus.

My dad advised me went I left home for college that half of the people I met in life wouldn't like me not matter what I said or did. Forget them, he said, and focus of the other half that do like you. There is where your friends will come from.

I don't have any "friends" who left me because of my support for Trump. I left them because they didn't support me.

I have started referring to my liberal acquaintances as catfish.

As I tell them, “ You are like a catfish bottom feeding in the Fake News River, gobbling up every piece of liberal/progressive BS that comes floating by and and then regurgitating it on FB.”

From then on, I greet their posts with , “Hello Catfish.”

I rarely say anything political on fakebook, and have lost friends the few times I have. Dhims, of course pal around like a pack of rabid fogs constantly crying and mocking everything Trump does and says. Most of my fakebook friends are non corporeal anyway, so I do intend on losing half of them next year when Trump is reelected with the largest margin in history, with one comment....hahahahahahahahahajahahahaha now STFU

I had a cousin do this with Obama. She supported single payer health care and I did not. She said if I did not, I did not care about her and her cancer. So, she very vocally wrote me off. She’s crazy.

My liberal friend (never discussed politics) died last year. Yesterday my sister and I were at her home helping her husband sort and organize her stuff before he moved away. One thing was a sampler she had finished but never framed. I suggested he take it to Hobby Lobby and they’d take care of it. He did a big “hrumph!”, stalked away, and said, “Hobby Lobby ... those racists!”

Sis and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes. I was going to remind him that Hobby Lobby’s owners are rabid Catholics, as he is (he was a priest). I was going to explain how many minorities I’ve seen working there. I did none of those things, considering the solemnity of the situation and out of respect for his wife and her stuff.

I’m praying he loses our phone number after he moves. He wants to maintain a relationship with DH and me, but we don’t deal well with socialists.

I have a number of liberal friends. We seldom talk politics, because we value that friendship, but even with them I find myself being careful what I disclose in terms of such things as what firearms I own. I have had a number of liberal acquaintances whose politics are the most important thing in their lives, and with them discourse is simply impossible. Honest to God, I was talking with one of them about snow tires last year and he pipes up, "Not gonna need them when Trump gets through destroying the planet, are we?" We couldn't even talk about snow tires. That's something worse than politics, it's obsession.

Make new friends is my advice. And pray the Civil Cold War doesn't turn hot.

Well, no. Being God He would immediately know who were the evil ones who had bought children for the purposes of selling them into sexual slavery. He would know who was coming only to steal and destroy. Who was bringing in poison to kill. What would happen then would make your delicate little feeling quiver and shiver as He meted out justice.

As for the rest the rules laid down show that He is not fond of house breakers and thieves.

At best the ones who are honestly seeking a new life and to contribute to the country would be told to go back and observe the law by properly asking entrance.

But, as observed, Trump is not God so lacking that advantage he has to do things in the human fashion. Which he has done with great care to behave with justice and mercy.

Sorry that this bothers you.

Quite frankly I suggest that you get down off your holier then thou throne and go actually take a look at what the alien invaders are doing to your fellow country men.
