Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) expressed disappointment over the news of National Security Advisor John Boltons firing, calling the outgoing senior White House official brilliant and suggested his reinstatement.
Im very, very unhappy to hear that he is leaving. Its a huge loss for the administration and for the nation, Romney told reporters on Tuesday.
Asked about a possible replacement, Romney suggests John Bolton

When Mittens is President he can do what the heck he wants but for now he can just STFU!-)
Is that how Romney ran his businesses? Ask for someone’s resignation and then listen to some useless DB and rehire them?
Romney is a total tool.
It’s too bad Senators from Utah don’t serve at the pleasure of the POTUS.
“Gee, Mitt, you blew your own election in 2012. You could have had anyone you wanted in that position, but you lost your chance.”
Absolutely. It’s the person who WINS the Presidency who calls those shots, not some socialist ex-governor who wins a Senate seat by moving to a state where ones religion gets one elected.

What, are you a troublemaker or something?
That’s like saying that people Posting here should read the Article before Posting a response and making sure they aren’t Posting a “serious” knee jerk reaction to a John Semmens / Babylon Bee Satirical Thread.
What’s next, expecting people Posting here to know the difference between “your” and “you’re” or “lose” and “loose”?
What is the world coming to? LOL
Don't ever forget, Mitt. You lost your election for president.
You don't get to come back as a Trump-hater and senator from Utah and have a say in who the National Security Advisor is going to be.
You had your chance in 2012 and you blew it. Your time has come and gone.
Thanks, Mittens! I had some reservations about Bolton’s firing, but now that you’re against it, I feel much better about it now.
Thank GOD he did.
Pull string, Romney bitches about something Trump has done. Somebody put him in a crate, tie it to the top of the car and take him for a long ride - please!
I tend to be a tad hawkish myself, having spent 20 years in the Army in a number of global garden spots. I got to know Bolton a bit when I was detailed to the White House and Bolton takes hawkish to a whole new level. His response to everything is to bomb the $hit of them. I think he’s just a bit too quick to put military personnel in harm’s way.
Well, he and types like Sohrab Ahmari are advocating socialism, but they say this time it will work because good people will be in charge. I believe socialism will never work.
I actually watched the exchange between Tucker and Bolton a couple years ago when it happened. At the time the hostility between the two surprised me.
In the piece the other night, which I also so, Tucker laid into Bolton and did accuse him of being a neo-con, presumably because he has hired neo-cons.
My sense remains that Bolton is an old, unrepentant cold war hawk. As far as the hires go, it’s hard to find hawks in our day, so he probably had to scrape the barrel and came up with neo-cons.
His crime as far as I’m concerned is that he is reported to have not supported his commander’s decisions. There comes a time when you salute and go do what you’ve been instructed to do.
People here seem to think he was hired to advise the President of the United States. That may have been why President Trump hired him, but that wasn't why Bolton took the job.
Bolton took the job to influence the President of the United States, not to advise him. That's where the relationship broke down, and that's where Tucker Carlson's criticism of Bolton is 100% on target.
See post #17 in this link from yesterday:
Trump blasts 'Mr. Tough Guy' Bolton
Note my commentary in that link, along with the segment from Tucker Carlson's show a few months ago. That deranged speech by Bolton isn't the speech of a "cold war hawk." It's the speech of an unapologetic, nation-building globalist to a group called the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran.
Bolton is gone because the mask came off, and he can't hide his real agenda anymore.
What battle did I pick?
I merely commented that Rand agreed with Trump and Mittens didn’t - and I would listen to Rand before Mittens..
Some of you guys see something and go all jump the shark mode....w/o analyzing what was actually said.
When I said we need to choose our battles carefully, I meant "We, the people" not you personally.
Feel better now?
I believe it was Rand's Daddy who made the obtuse statement that if "We weren't over there (Terrorist sandbox countries) then they (terrorists) wouldn't be over here." Yeah, sure.
Doesn’t have have a dog to torture?
He thinks that a US militaryh response to Iran’s drone attack on the world economy would be a “grave mistake”. Ironic, since Mittwit “Hairdo” Romney is a grave mistake.
