Whatever President Trump does...Romney does the opposite.

That's pure jealousy.

It really is hard for me to understand the obsession with Romney. Why in the world are these folks chasing him down for these quotes, and why do so many folks here re-post them? He is a sore loser, with no real power (except in the minds of many people).

If we all ignored him he would just go away.

Here's another clip from a few months ago where Tucker Carlson does another magnificent job of exposing Bolton:

"John Bolton is a Bureaucratic Tapeworm"

It gets even more damning when you understand the story behind the scenes of some of those clips. The segment that starts at the 6:12 mark is from a 2017 speech Bolton gave in Paris to a group of Iranian exiles called MEK (Mujahedeen Khalq, or People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran). I did some research on this organization. It was a socialist Iranian revolutionary group founded in the 1960s, and was actually considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. government up until 2012. The U.S. military even attacked MEK militant groups that were operating in Iraq during the Iraq war, after the MEK bombed the U.N. compound in Iraq in August 2003.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Good riddance to this war-mongering piece of sh!t.

I actually had to vote for this assclown. . . RNC, I’m staying home next time.

And Utah. . Really? Maybe import someone a bit less RINO and effeminate from a neighbor state? Look, you don’t have to do it for me. Think about dogs desperately hanging on to the roof rack. Think about the gallons of Just For Men dark brown used on Romney’s head - you just know that toxic attempt at youth is going down the drains and ending up in poor Salt Lake City kid’s iced tea. Think about the team of psychiatrists working tirelessly to cure Romney from his TDS. Those poor bastards have been analyzing, counseling and hopefully prescribing lots of strong drugs to treat this sad, sad case of TDS... but to no avail. Utah, the entire country has to live with your choices. We still love you, but dayum....

“Then win the Presidency Mitt Romney, if you can. So far you keep showing you are a loser when it comes to that office. In fact you have been a loser in every office you have held.”

There will be an open election in 2024. Run Mitt Run!!

Hey Mitt, first win the Presidency and THEN you can decide who the government hires for the National Security Advisor.

Yes, I saw this, but Carlson makes the statement, and then does not back up his assertion. Agree that Boot and Kristol have revealed their true colors as anti-Trumpers, but Bolton willingly went to work for the president. // Carlson himself has some Lefty ideas about government intervention in and control of the economy. He also keeps trotting out that screwy retired colonel who thinks we should be total isolationists. Plus he gives Tulsi Gabbard a lot of air time, a hard core Democrat into whose knickers I’m convinced the once & future bowtie wearing, preppy chain smoker wants to get.

Paul is a libertarian who thinks NOTHING is worth fighting for; Bolton and Romney are neocons who think ANYTHING is worth going to war over. You need to pick your battles carefully.

It really is hard for me to understand the obsession with Romney.

It is because he is undermining POTUS. The media never cared about McCain when he wasn’t undermining opposition to the kenyan. In fact, the media was vicious toward McCain when he was running against Obama.

I am not a Romney fan, in the least, but his remarks about Bolton were intelligent.

He acknowledged that Bolton was a contrarian and often disagreed with others working with Trump. What he supported about Bolton continuing was that Trump needs to have strong different opinions around him, not all yes men. He - Romney - was not supporting one particular view of Bolton’s or another - only that his - Bolton’s - views will not be heard with very good background behind them (like Bolton has) by others around Trump.

GWBush formed his cabinet with that concept of leadership in mind - strong different opinions and each from folks willing to voice them.

The best relationship I had in business with a CEO was with one to whom I could strongly disagree, and say so. Sometimes we argued, and sometimes it was in front of others. But one thing he knew I accepted was that him being the CEO, at the end of the day he could trust that I would do as he wanted, if I had not convinced him otherwise. Often enough, after some disagreement between us in a staff meeting (where all the other execs sat silent), he’d call me on the phone and ask if I wanted to go to lunch. We could still be on friendly terms while disagreeing on some operational matter.

Trump needs those relationships, not yes men. I think that is what Romney meant.
