Democratic presidential candidate Beto ORourke now claims you have a right to live near your job.
Living close to work shouldn't be a luxury for the rich, the former Texas congressman tweeted Monday. It's a right for everyone.

Rich people are going to have to allow -- or be forced to allow -- lower-income people to live near them, he said.

Robert Francis is going full communist with this. My desire, as I rose, was to live in the country and commute to the city to work. I lived closer to my place of employment only when I was nearer the bottom of the pole.
Looks like his idea of a "right" is the "right" to be forced to live where he wants you to, with the people he wants to force you to live with, and in the communal living facility he's willing to allocate to you. Sounds like Soviet living in the early days of the USSR depicted in "Dr. Zhivago."

Bobby O’Rourke should be put in a concentration camp where he can be close to his work.

Maybe they can build affordable housing and a rehab center at Bohemian Grove. They’ll have to move the Owl statue.

Tell that to truckers, tree cutters, utility workers, etc., especially during times of emergencies.

No, it is not.
Should that be Government run too?
Employers within a certain mile radius will be forced to hire you, qualified or not? Please, just stop.

Millions of Americans exercise that right each year by leaving the large, democrat controlled cities and moving to flyover country.

They used to have servant’s quarters out back of the main house.

OK, I live close to work -- both offices. One office is about 2000 feet from my apartment, across the street and around the next corner. The other office is a seven-second commute from my bedroom, in the "breakfast nook" that I used for my home office.
And it's not the first time I've worked at a "cubicle" job where I was able to get things done from home. Indeed, I tend to get *more* done at home -- no interrupts except a demanding cat.
