Hurricane Dorian battered St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and brushing Puerto Rico. Taking aim at the Florida Atlantic Coastline, Hurricane Dorian is projected to be a major hurricane (Category 3) at landfall.

NOAA is going to keep their forecast track onshore for as long as possible. If they put it out to sea and it tracks back onto land later there will be a media firestorm.

If Dorian hugs the coast, it’s gonna be a mess all the way from Palm Beach up to Jacksonville.
Matthew did that and this one isn’t as big. So it would be some flooding in the usual spots, Beachside, rivers, etc.
Hugging the coast out to sea is probably the optimal outcome outside of far out to sea at this point.
