Software bugs don’t work this way.
Someone coded it to do this.

“vote integrity” is an oxymoron.

I always start laughing out loud whenever a politician or academic type says those words.

Here in CT the Democrats steal as many votes as they need whenever they need them—in the middle of the night—and dare us to do something about it.

Then after they stole enough votes to get their candidate elected they promise to fix the problem!

Rinse and repeat!

Its a feature, not a bug.

You don't think Dems didn't have vote fraud in mind when these were introduced?

(Yes, the double negative is intended)

Paper ballots and kindergartners processing. Maybe 7th graders counting stacks. Civics teaching. Government goofballs cannot be trusted.

Actually is probably a hardware/miscalibration.

I bet if he touched the “write in” option, it would have highlighted the candidate he was trying to vote for.

Basically the machine most likely had a calibration issue, and is reading the touch higher than it actually is.

Not a big deal, machine is taken out of service and voter is moved over to the other machine and a new machine can be delivered.

If you wanted to cheat an electronic voting machine you don’t need to show where the vote is, just tally it where you want... so if this was a nefarious action the voter would not even know.. Screen would show whatever it is he touched, but behind the scenes would count it toward the opponent, the actual voter would have no clue.

This is not shocking, this is an all too familiar crime. The real shock is the non response by republicans.

No software glitch works like that. It may be a touch screen registration error. That is unlikely based on the info in the story.
I am a retired electrical and software engineer. This is not an accident. The system is coded that way, probably not to do it every time but only enough to run up the dems total. Probably somewhere about 1 in every 5 to 10 different voters.

Paper ballots and blue fingers are the answer.

the machine inadvertently
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Machines have to be programmed to do this, they don’t do things inadvertently.
Touch panel voting machines should be outlawed.
They are expensive, bulky, and too hard to scale up or down to meet the anticipated voter turnout.
Optically Scanned paper ballots only require inexpensive portable desks for voting stations, then a single Optically Scanned ballot reader can service the entire precinct.
During low turnout School millage elections, you set up one scanner and 10 tables.
For a Presidential year, you set up one scanner and 40 tables. You only buy, maintain, update, and store a single optical reader per precinct, then store hundreds of the briefcase sized portable voting booth tables.
With touch screen voting machines, you either have to buy a lot of them for the heavy turnout elections, then let them sit in a warehouse unused for all other elections, or else you have too few machines for the heavy turnout elections resulting in long lines and voter discouragement.
And a bonus of the optically scanned ballot is that there is an actual piece of paper that can be either rescanned or hand scored for recounts. You can't recount a touch screen voting machine, only re-read its internal tally.
So, in summary, lots of these:
And a few of these:
But none of these:
Reason why all voting has to be done on paper mark-sense ballots using permanent ink that can be both machine-read and hand-read.
Anyone who trusts paperless machines is a fool. (I'm a programmer. My machines would switch three percent of the D votes to R. Who would know?)
It took the vote away from the Republican candidate. As far as Dems are concerned, it’s working perfectly.
At this point, I see no downside to PDJT tweeting about this!
I’m sure he knows about it, as we’ve posted many articles about it and Soros and Diebold.
The democrats are very adept at election fraud. With electronic voting there are multiple ways to cheat. Democrats always use multiple layers of cheating in elections. Phony calibration is likely one. Especially since, oddly enough, these errors almost always go in the democrats favor. Add in ballot harvesting, non registered voters, multiple voting, busing in voters, election boards run by democrats, etc. Multiple layers. And then toss in the republicans who run to their defense. Why would democrats not cheat?
I recall reading during the Obama elections that most voting machines were owned by Soros entities and serviced by SEIU.
This is why paper ballots are so important. Here in Minnesota they get it right, using an optical w/scanner that feeds into a sealed box. The totals at any polling place can can be verified by unsealing the box and recounting the paper ballots with a Mark I eyeball.
Cheating is still possible but it has to be done old school (e.g., the car trunk full of ballots ‘found’ for Al Franken); paper really helps to limit the electronic shenanigans.
